I finally went out & bought Phyllis the N.A.S. Study Bible, because she has such a hard time with the K.J.V., and because of the good things said about the N.A.S. right here on the B.B.

If she starts shaving her head & wearing patchouli, I'm never coming here again......

Pray that I can be a good role model for her to be interested in the studies.

    Agreeing with Armchair Scholar.

Of course, it took quite awhile for my hair to grow back mind you.

I like the NAS. I don't read it too often (I prefer the ESV), but it is a good translation nonetheless.

I've used the NIV, NKJV, NLT, Amplified, and KJV and the NASB is my favorite. Excellent choice. I use the '77 edition.

I've gone back to using a leather NASB that was given to me when i graduated from seminary in 2003 after a 2nd ESV reference Bible fell apart on me...so i have to agree that it is a good choice.
