I'm still waiting for him to tell me how right-wingers ruined the country.

See this is the problem with this country. We can't talk about anything because we're afraid we'll lose control of the debate when we present our ideas. We'd rather hold on to our dogma than even be open to debate and perhaps even better ideas.

I'm a firm believer that affordable healthcare should be available to all American Citizens. No person should be refused treatment and no person should be refused medical insurance because of a pre-existing condition. medical insurance should also be transferrable from state to state. But I remain unconvinced that Washington DC can do this better than anybody else.

So convince me that Federal Control of our Medical Industry is the way America should go. If you've got a better mousetrap I'll buy it.

I am not absolutely convinced myself, but it will either be the federal government or private, for profit companies that operate it. I fear more from companies like United Health Care (which I currently have) than I do the government. I know the amount I now spend, which is in excess of $100 a week for health care is more than I can afford. This is especially true when you consider the deductible and the co-pays. Also, being a diabetic with other medical complications means that a large percentage of my money goes for insurance and medicine. So, I am stuck with either continuing unaffordable health care cost or hope that a government run system will be better. I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place!

Well I don't respect his position and doubt his honesty since he is an admitted socialist if not communist. Lying is in their credo! Too many men have died to preserve this Republic for me to admire anyone who wants to destroy it.

And too many men have died to preserve his right to voice his opinion even if it disagrees with ours. It's one of the reasons our country is so precious.

The purpose of the 2nd was so that the citizens of the 13 sovereign states could protect themselves from invasion by federal troops as happened during Lincoln's War.
