    While most are probably familiar with Holmes, I thought this short article had enough interesting info:

    (This is not a dig at the 'Free-will' individuals; but yes, Holmes was still a Calvinist, as was Williams and Clarke, and all the rest. So many church historians leave out their theology, which very much plays into their actions.)

    The case of Obediah Holmes is the reason I look askance at the seeming love affair many Baptists have with the Puritans and Reformed.
