    Is this ad on the Internet anywhere.. I would love to send it on to my pro-life friends....

    Someone said it wasn't smart of Obama to make this ad.. I agree...
    The timing coinciding with the RNC is only going to put the focus on McCain and Palin....

    Her rights have been taken away. If a woman has the right to choose over her body, why should she be required to wear a seat belt?

That's what women need to understand. That's how high the stakes are.”

    All I can say is, what about the lives and health of the unborn HUMAN LIVING babies? We need a right to murder?? And we're worried about gas prices?? Shame, shame, shame on us all who don't speak out for life and vote accordingly!!!

    What about the lives and health of the babies who are ripped apart limb by limb from the suction curet? Or salt poisoned and burned from saline solution? Or having their skulls punctured by scissors and their brains sucked out - all without pain killers. We treat prisoners of war and convicted murderers on death row more humanely than we treat the 4000 unborn infants being murdered on a daily basis in America.

    I do have a legitimate question. What will we do with the extra 1.5 million a year when abortion is gone? How do we not end up like China? Teaching at home isn't working, hence the 1.5 million babys a year. What do we do with the extra population? If made illegal eill it stop abortions from happening?

    Ah, Jerry has tipped his hand. How convenient that we don't have all those extra mouths to feed! Man, I'm glad we murdered them off instead, so it won't get in the way of our self-centered lives. We see in Jerry's question how he views these children - as inconvenient burdens on society. A more thoroughly unbiblical view it could not be.

    Will abortion stop if made illegal? I don't know - are people still committing murder even though that's illegal? Do people still steal even though that's illegal? Yep, I guess they do. And your point is? Yet another unbiblical view on display.

    Keep trying to soothe your conscience, Jerry. I recommend you start digging deep into the Word of God instead, however.

    Actually, if all the aborted babies were born since 1973, there would be enough working bodies to support the burden the boomers put on social Security!

    If it wasn't for abortion, Social Security would not be in trouble!
    But we killed off the generation that supports the boomers!

    Oh, and have you thought of this: With abortion being illegal, maybe it will serve as a deterrent to illicit sex. If people know that getting an illegal abortion would be risky and they might get caught, maybe they will think twice about engaging in sex. Fear of consequences can be a good deterrent, even with something as volatile as sex.

    Great point. People fail to realize that we have killed off 40 million producers, not just consumers. One big reason why companies are going offshore is the lack of workforce here in the U.S. Our economy would be much better off with those people around. But people like Jerry who see them just as burdens are usually thinking in Marxist/Socialist ways about the economy - they see it as a finite pie that has to be shared among everyone, instead of something that grows with incentive, ingeniuity and hard work.

    And maybe one would have been a Mozart, or found a cure to cancer or other disease, or even just been a good teacher to many kids.

    We will never know all the potential that was lost.

    Check the other thread for the pre 1973 figures. Do you think there were no abortions before 1973? There were 1.2 million a year.

    Actually it was more like 100,000 a year or less.

    The numbers have been greatly inflated by the Planned Parenthood and other pro-choice groups.

    Actually, it was more like 1.2 million a year. Where did you find that nutcase page? What makes his figures true and the other page false? Do you honestly believe all these abortions started after 1973? It went up 1.3 million in one year? People just magically started wanting to get rid of kids because it became legal? I guess before alcohol was legal, people didn't drink either?
