I almost squished one of those plastic cups in my Dodge Hemi Truck when it pulled out in front of me the other day. Good thing I have quick reflexes or I would have destroyed that thing.

I guess that problem will be taken care of when the gov forces us all to drive plastic cups. My problem is that I can't fit into those things being 6'4 and 245lbs.... but on the other hand, parallel parking would be easier, cause I could always get out and just pick up the thing and put it where I want it.

Why shouldn't the cost of the oil wars be added to the cost of fuel? We are fighting the war for the oil companies.

HA! That's funny. I've got a Ford F150 and I've almost run over a Geo Metro and a Smart Car. Instead of plastic cups we call them "specks" up here in MN. Usage: "I almost ran over a speck the other day."

Let's just make everyone happy! Liberals want us to raise taxes, so let's raise taxes on all liberals. Easy fix!

This lets the gov't off too easily:

#1: The government is so addicted to $$ that if we create an entity that gives them less crack cocaine than they want, they will change the rules so that they get their fix. (see "fuel efficiency." Keep in mind...Big Brother has been fining companies for not having more fuel efficient cars. As soon as they're created--the taxpayer gets hosed)

#2: All cars are not created equal. It is stupidity to pretend that a Honda Insight creates anywhere near the road wear-and-tear of a Hummer H2.

Obama and his sycophants are simply being intellectually dishonest. Hey...they could post on the BB! I know of a couple accounts they could borrow...no one would know the difference!

There is a vehicle weight component in the tax calculation. The heavier the vehicle the higher the tax rate.

There is no way I would drive a Smart Car. For one thing, it looks like modified golf cart. Secondly, you would be hard pressed to convince me that it is safe to drive with soccer moms in SUV's hurdling down the interstate at 80mph.
