LeBuick, one has to admire your tenacity and enthusiasm......

But I think you've got apples and oranges mixed up in qualifying:

FEC has the responsibilty to certified the candidates qualifications to hold office according to law.

The FBI investigates background to determine whether or not a person is a security risk for the confidential information which their office of employment requires of them. An office of employment may not have the citizenship restrictions to definition like the office of the Presidency does.

Part of the FBI granting you that clearance is verifying all information you've provided to include interviewing and investigating friends and associates. I've had a TS clearance while in the military and they rake you across the coals. I was particularly raked because I have no birth certificate which is how I know your birth place and citizenship is verified. I have no doubt the POTUS has a much higher clearance than I had.

I believe the FEC uses the FBI for the leg work in their verification. If not, then it says two government agencies gave him the thumbs up so I am doubly satisfied.

The man who filed the lawsuit evidently has proof or he wouldn't have been dumb enough to file it.

Did Obama's grandmother lie when she said she, along with his two brothers, attended his birth in Kenya?

    What a mess!

I don't know that he did drop it, but my diligent research has uncovered that he IS a 9/11 truther...

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania - 01/04/07) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, [Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania; former candidate for Governor and U.S. Senate; an attorney with offices in Montgomery County, PA and an active practice in Philadelphia, PA, who prior hereto has filed a RICO lawsuit against Bush and others for the events of 9/11 and plans to re-file shortly] announced today that he was issuing a call for world leaders to arrest and try Bush and Cheney for the global crimes of 9/11/01.Philip J. Berg, Esquire stated in a letter to the nations throughout the world:
"It is time for the nations of the world to come forth and take the leadership because of the failure of the United States Government and the States where crimes were committed on 09/11/01, where no thorough investigation and indictments occurred, to investigate, arrest and prosecute the people responsible for the murders on 9/11/01, specifically including George W. Bush and Richard Cheney. "
Berg continued there is overwhelming evidence that:
"Bush and his cronies made 9/11 happen or let it happen. And, if they let it happen, then they made it happen. Either way, they are responsible; and more important, they have completely and unequivocally covered-it-up!"
    Berg's letter went on.....

Really? This guy also thinks that President Bush should be arrested for 9/11 and then tried by some sort of world tribunal.

(Start with Bro Curtis' link above)

He also has an obsession with Hillary Clinton.

BTW, the judge who threw the case out was a Clinton appointee.

    STOP ROGER!!!!!!

Sorry, folks, I have been VERY good, but my flesh was just too strong here and I gave in :(.

Interesting. I wonder if Berg plans on appealing the decision.

You must have missed Bro Curtis post. I would hesitate to be on the Berg bandwagon.

Were I planning to vote for any particular individual, and that individual were shown not to fulfill the constitutional requirements, I would then find another for whom to vote.

However, the "preponderance of the evidence" so far, at least, appears to be that Sen. Obama, Sen. McCain, Rep. Barr, and Mr. Nader (and I presume all the others running) are qualified, in regard to the "natural-born Citizen" provision of the Constitution.

(Whether or not I agree generally with any or all of them, or whether any and/or all are worthy, in my own mind, for my vote, are different questions, entirely.)

In fact, in my lifetime, only one major "would-be" candidate, namely the late Gov. George W. Romney might have been remotely questionable, in this regard, and I find it even doubtful that there was a real question over whether or not he was or was not qualified, IMO, although I did not then support him, either.

Wasn't this the guy who was brain washed in Vietnam? Wasn't he born in Mexico?

Could not say about his being in Vietnam, for I do not know or remember anything about this, but Gov. George W. Romney was born at Colonia Dublan, located in Galeana, Chihuahua, Mexico, to American missionaries, who were there, at the time of his birth. In fact, I suspect he might have even had dual citizenship, for that reason, but do not actually know that, either.

So I guess he was legal if his parents were citizens.

If I get the inclination later I will google this guy, I somehow remember him washing out early in the election when he revealed he was brainwashed by the commies or something like that...
