Does anyone believe that Obama give a flip about offending Romney and his wife. They woke up to the fact that other people have Multiple Sclerosis.

The Democratic National Committee is reining in a planned series of videos using Ann Romney’s dressage hobby to mock her husband after a reminder it is related to her multiple sclerosis therapy.

The first online video showed footage of Romney’s dressage horse Rafalca prancing around a ring in competition, along with clips of Romney stumbling over answers to questions about his tax returns and personal finances.

“Do we really want a President who dances around the issues” the ad asks.
Along with raising the issue of Romney’s taxes, showcasing the couple’s involvement in the elite hobby also served as a convenient reminder of the candidate’s immense personal wealth.

The first video was meant to be one in a series to feature the “dancing horse,” which is set to compete on the U.S. Dressage Team in the London Olympics.

Romney surrogate Tim Pawlenty told ABC it is “really low” for Democrats to poke fun at a pastime that helps with the symptoms of Ann Romney’s MS.
“Shame on them,” said the former Minnesota governor, who is thought to be on the short list of Romney’s potential running mates.

During an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Ann Romney laughed off the ad, but scolded critics for what she characterized as a frivolous attack.

“It makes me laugh,” she said, adding incredulously: “Really?”

    The DNC quickly backtracked.

“Our use of the Romneys’ dressage horse was not meant to offend Mrs. Romney in any way, and we regret it if it did,” DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse told ABC. “We were simply making a point about Governor Romney’s failure to give straight answers on a variety of issues in this race. We have no plans to invoke the horse any further to avoid misinterpretation.”
During the interview, Ann Romney also defended her husband against growing demands for him to release more tax returns, suggesting that suspicion over what the records hold is undeserved.

“You should really look at where Mitt has led his life, and where he’s been financially,” Romney said. “He’s a very generous person. We give 10 percent of our income to our church every year. Do you think that is the kind of person that is trying to hide things, or do things?”

When asked why not release the records if there is nothing to hide, Romney said that would just give the Obama campaign “more material for more attacks.”

“We’ve given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and about how we live our life,” she said.
