Do you know how much a U.S. Senator is paid each year? It's way more than over 99% of Americans will ever make.

Still, compared to the other U.S. Senators he is a pauper.

He is still ranked 108 of all the senators. I don't know how I fell about that. It might imply he is honest but there are honest ways to make cash while on the hill. It might also question his ability to stimulate the economy of he can't stimulate his own finances...

That's right. He been too busy serving his constituents to make boatloads of money for himself. Serving others is supposed to be something that Christians commend. I guess such commendation stops at the political door.

If that is accurate, then this is another indication of how bad a decision Obama made. Do we really want budget policy by a guy who has made well in excess of 100,000 for years and is only worth 150,000? That means this guy is not even worth one year's salary (at a very high salary). Can you say "Bad money management"?

Before you make such an accusation maybe you should find out what he does with his money.

"The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."
    - Joe Biden on Obama

"Having talking points on foreign policy doesn't get you there."

Good response Ken and I hope that is the reason.

It would be refreshing to have a politician who exclusively has his constituents in the good parts of their mind.

Those comments are from quite a while back. Besides, the only other person who can win the presidency now is Senator John Sidney McCain III and if he wins the future existence of the United States as a world leader will be in serious jeopardy.

Well to be fair. KenH was going to vote for Obama before he was going to vote against him.

I think the carpetbagger brings votes but also brings baggage and attitude that is supperior to Obama. Not a good second fiddle. And nterestingly there seems to be no poll bounce as a result of Bidens anouncement. Therefore no evidence of any real significant support for Biden as VP.

Too busy campaigning for president and writing books about...himself. But he's gonna fix our souls, so he's got that going for him.

As with previous discussions about presidential politics, we can let Ken have a conversation with himself since he frequently takes both sides of an issue, sometimes not even recognizing that his own words condemn a previous or later view that he takes.

Ken, before you suggest that Biden is too busy serving, perhaps you should actually find out.

To be fair KenH was for Obama before he was against him and then for him.

Or was it against him then for him then against him and now for him?

Maybe he was always for him but we just couldn't tell because we lack his political historical knowledge.

You can't have political knowledge, if you think Obama and Biden represent the mainstream. Both are fringe, both are looney left. The dems must just not want to win.

Sorry Bro. Curtis, but I think Biden is a great choice, and I think it gives Obama his best chance to win.

Maybe after 4 years of Obama/biden we will all finally be equal. We will all make the same federally mandated wage...we will all live in the same type of house, and we will all have $100,000/year jobs with free healthcare. We can even rename the USA, "Heaven on Earth"...thank God for the Democrats. (Oops, sorry, I forgot that God is not allowed to be mentioned when discussing the government)

Of course, marriage as we know it will be history, jr high schoolers will have free access to abortions without worrying about Mom and Dad finding out, and there will be a major world war because we admitted defeat in iraq and left it so Iran could move in setting off a war with Isreal and Western Europe, (who BTW, hate us even worse now for abandoning Iraq before the job was finished).

Yes, Biden is a perfect choice for Obama.
