What's worse, no matter what we do... No matter how long we stay. There will be a civil war the same day we leave.

Did you forget eight years of Clinton? Bush inherited the problem. And why acknowledge them when they were in violation of sanctions?

"Other than the bullet, how was the play, Mr. Lincoln?"

I would really appreciate you giving a source for this.

One of the big mistakes in going into Iraq was that it took attention and resources away from Afghanstan where we are seeing the rise and growing strength of the Taliban growing again.

The Senate Intelligence Committee's investigation says that al Qaida was there before the war.

"[Pre-war administration] statements that Iraq provided safe haven for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and other al-Qa'ida-related terrorist members were substantiated by the intelligence assessments. Intelligence assessments noted Zarqawi's presence in Iraq and his ability to travel and operate within the country."

"Postwar information supports prewar assessments and statements that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was in Baghdad and that al-Qa'ida was present in northern Iraq."

As much as I would love to give you an article, this was information passed during mock-ups preparing to go into country. We receive all kinds of info ranging from avg. weather conditions, diseases of the region, possible threats to troops mental, physical even spiritual well being.

As I said you might know something that Intel at the time did not know.

Do you have a source saying they were not there?

I am curious about this comment. So as I understand, you believe that every woman, every child that dies from every stray bomb in a war is deserving of death, and you feel nothing for them? I hope I am wrong and you didn't mean the wording you chose, but this is what it sounded like you are saying.

It sounded to me like he was saying women and children were carrying bombs into tents to kill doctors and nurses. They did the same thing in Vietnam. A woman would hand a baby to a soldier with a bomb attached which killed the baby, the soldier, and any others standing near by.

Jim has it right, war is hell.

During the Iranian/Iraqi wars, Iranians would send small toddlers/children across the mine fields to clear the way for their soldiers. Iraqis prove they are real men by eating the beating hearts out of living bunnies. Sickos in those cultures. Very demented, oppressed, distressed, regressed, mainly because of their religion.
