Hogwash. Liberals have always supported black people. It wasn't the far right who marched with Martin Luther King in Selma. Or are you going to claim you were there?

What do all these have in common?

    Hugo Black
    Robert Bird
    Ernest Hollings
    Democrat national Convention 1924

Liberals have bought and paid for the political loyaly of blacks and take them for granted. It's just another form of enslavement.

Conservative blacks have thrown of the chains of the liberals and are due a special brand of scorn from liberals, especially black liberals.

Thus Obama's attack on Thomas instead of Alito or Scalia or Roberts.

He holds the political views of all of them in contempt, but he singles out Thomas because both of them are black.

It was a free low blow, so he delivered it.

    Your naivity is astounding.

It is still a fact that you are the one who introduced race into the discussion. To claim that you "knew immediately" that it was about race is only indicative that it was foremost on your mind.

Hmmmm...... I am starting to get the picture. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes it is. No denial necessary.

Why do you keep repeating yourself?

Is there a mouse in your pocket?

Obama was given a justice to disagree with, and he chose the black one.

Well, for you: yes I am sure it's obvious.
You could have interjected any topic into this discussion, and yet you chose race. That would seemingly indicate that it is foremost on your mind. Nobody forced you to invoke race, and nobody discussed it before you. That certainly speaks volumes.

    Hmmmm............

I cannot believe you are so misinformed. I see Mitch put up the pertinent information that makes mincemeat of yer uninformed claim.

I'm pretty sure it was mostly black people who marched, but the civil rights bill was passed only because of the "Yea" votes by the right wing of the republican party in 1964.

BB, I challenge you to prove otherwise, or retract your ignorant statement. It's a chance to grow, spiritually. Take it.

I doubt that it was the right-wing Republicans of 1964 who enabled it to pass, but rather the votes of moderate Republicans, such as Senator Dirksen. The opposition to the bill came mainly from southern Democrats who in today's political environment would be right-wing Republicans.

Yeah. I wonder if they are justified in that, since it took Biden so long to find a clean, articulate black guy. Aren't the repubs even looking ?
