    I can't believe what I just saw...

A commercial on Nick obviously marketed to kids... very obviously toward kids... with Obama being marketed.

It is pretty low when you have to go after the kids in order to get the parents to vote...

I will try to find this somewhere on the web so I can link to it here...

    Has anyone else seen this?
It was kids and teens dancing around with pictures of Obama...

    New low in advertising.

*BTW, my son got up and turned the channel.. .He said, "I don't watch TV to see Obama!"

Obama, McCain to Appear on Nickelodeon

    By Christopher Perez

Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain are scheduled to appear on Nickelodeon’s election mainstay, “Nick News with Linda Ellerbee:
Kids Pick the President.” The show, scheduled to air Oct. 12, will feature the candidates fielding questions from kids about everything from the economy to health insurance. The network traveled across the United States and videotaped kids’ questions for Senators McCain and Obama.

“Democracy works only if you participate in it, and this year we’ve all seen that kids are more interested than ever in participating,” said host Linda Ellerbee, in a statement. “We like to encourage this. The candidates, by answering kids’ questions directly, are showing respect for kids, as have the presidential candidates in previous elections.”

That is a little different Ken.. I can agree that would be interesting...
But what I am talking about is watching Spongebob, and one of the commercials is a bunch of kids dancing around holding Obama pictures...
I hope I get to see it again, so I can give more detail...

And as far as I could tell it had nothing to do with kids choice for President that Nick is promoting...

Would appear to be poor use of campaign cash to advertise on Nickelodeon, imo. But perhaps that aim is to reach 14-17 year olds who will be eligible to vote in 2012. I haven't watched Nickelodeon in a long, long, long time so I have no idea what the demographics are for that channel.

I do know Obama is trying stuff I have never seen before...
This morning his commercial on health coverage was on, and since I have dishnetwork, an option to "click select" on my remote would take me to his plan.... I didn't push it... afraid I couldn't escape! lol

I saw that, I don't think the Obama campaign put that commercial on. Did you see his endorsement? I think that is the same video that has been on youtube a few days now.

I think you should review his proposal. What do you have to loose? I know you have had medical troubles within your family and good coverage never hurts. It would at least be worth looking. Doesn't look like you'll need to vote for him to take advantage of his plan.
