Obama denigrates US, panders to Islam on trip overseas

A senior Army strategist and Pentagon advisor says President Obama's recent foreign excursions accomplished nothing that furthered U.S. interests abroad.

In a recent column in Human Events, Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis (USA-Ret.) wrote that Obama's two overseas trips to Europe and Latin America made him appear more like a diplomatic tourist than the leader of the free world.

Maginnis says while Obama met with heads of state, made speeches, attended summits, and conducted town hall meetings, his only accomplishment was to portray himself as a chameleon-like leader who takes an anti-American tone to please his foreign hosts. Obama, according to Maginnis, was particularly pandering to Muslims.

"We certainly found that Islam was promoted. It seems like everywhere this man turns, he's promoting Islamic countries and Islamic beliefs and Muslims," he contends. "And of course he denigrated us all over the map."
