    I don't know if he holds any firm religious convictions, but as I have long said, he is definitely not a Christian.

    It is illustrative of a very foundational difference between our Founding Fathers and this poser-turned-president:

    Their view: We are given rights by God. The government is simlpy charged with the responsibility of recognizing and defending those rights.

    His view: Those rights are given to the individual by government.

    Subtle wording...but all the difference in the world. There is no rational jump from the FF position to tyranny (unless one chooses to ignore the rights granted by God...which, of course, there are many who have done). But it is very easy to move from BHO's position to tryanny. Since rights originate with government, they can also take them away.

    Scary...
