That would be a horrible idea. The corporations have been huge beneficiaries of the Bush administration policies, along with the mega-rich. It's time that we changed government policies to benefit the middle- and working-class folks who make this country function.

Corporate income taxes have declined from 25% of federal revenues to only 10% now over the past 60 years:

Beats the regressive right-wing Republican policies that your side has been putting in place for the past seven years.

Drive the corporations out of business with high taxes.. and workers get laid off...

Raise taxes, and corporations move to another country.
    And who can blame them...

    We are capitalistic..

Raise taxes on corporations, the pass it down to the consumer....

So where did you get that from? moveon.org or mediamatters?

What we need is less government policies? The consistent cal for more is what drives corruption up in government. The more beauracracy we have the more corruption there will be. We need less policies, less government, less time spent in DC and term limits to two resulting in the destruction of career politicians and all the corruption and division in DC as well as more freedom for Americans.

As proven in the link that I added to my earlier post, corporate income taxes have dropped from 25% of federal revenue to only 10% today over the past 60 years. So please forgive me if I don't go along with your regressive right-wing policy idea of giving even more tax breaks to corporations.

Corporations which are paper entities that create jobs and increase the economy provide for the working class so they will be able to earn a provision rather than wait for a comministic government to give it to them destroying the very foundation of this country.

Don't you mean corporations that destroy American jobs by sending them to foreign countries and decrease our economy?

Great drop the heavy handed regulations and benefits packages. The corporations did not create that mess.

A typical regressive right-wing response - let the corporations run roughshod over workers.

All corporate income tax is paid by the consumers of the goods and services they make along with all the costs of the tax accountants and lawyers. It is just another scheme to make it seem like you and I are not paying as much as we are. Getting rid of the waste and all the crazy rules people have to follow and dumb business decisions made on the basis of tax implications rather than something tangible and beneficial would be a big plus for all of us.

We make this country function regardless what the government does or doesn't do. We make it function a whole lot better when they stay out of the way.

Corporations can't make a profit without workers. They produce and own the jobs. Workers can't make a living without corporations. They produce and own the skills. Government just figures out ways to take some of the profits from whomever it can in the process.

That is not true. Prices are set by supply and demand, not by tax rates.

Workers can't make a living without corporations? That's not exactly true. There are hundreds of thousands of folks making a living without being incorporated. I did it for quite awhile myself. Corpoartions are great if you want to sell stock to finance your business or avoid personal responsibilty.

Corporations aren't a problem until they gobble up or drive off all the competition and become monopolies. Like the mass media or the giant transnational corporations that have no loyalty to any nation or people.
