Obama 'flip-flops' on energy policy

    While Republicans were staging a protest over energy prices on Capitol Hill, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama delivered his energy policy speech on the campaign trail.

    Critics are calling it a flip-flop on energy policy. While Obama still maintains that more domestic oil drilling is not the solution to America's energy crisis, he did support limited offshore drilling, clean coal technologies, and increased nuclear energy production. He also called for oil to be released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
