Whichever of the two gets the nod, the Democratic Party is making history this year.

Yes, MP. Kudos to the Democratic Party. It will have either an African-American or a woman as its standard bearer. Sadly, the Republican Party isn't even close to nominating someone other than a white male as its standard bearer.

It's starting to look like Hillary might have trouble stopping the Obama freight train. She has a lot of organization and a lot of support, but Obama's personality and presence just might tip things his way.

I just finished watching tonight's debate between Clinton and Obama. I think Hillary did a good job in this debate, but I think Obama did better.

I know I wouldn't mind casting a vote for Obama myself!

I agree - Obama by a nose in the debate.

The lack of diversity in the GOP among its candidates for president. If the GOP leadership had good sense it would have been encouraging Condi Rice to run for president in 2008.

How much do you really know about Dr. Rice's politics?

It doesn't really matter does it. After all diversity is the primary standard.

We had a quite a lot of discussion about Condi running for president a couple of years ago. I am sorry that you evidently missed it. You might check this board's archives and see if you can find the threads.

Ken, I have to admit that I haven't followed this Politics forum very much, but I know that you were a strong supporter of Ron Paul, so I figured that you were very conservative. It surprises me that you really were a "liberal-in-disguise" now that I see you support pro-abortion Democrats, and you also buy into the whole Cultural Marxism thing by looking at the color of people's skin or their gender rather than the content of their character or policies.

Andy part of the deal around here is that Ken constanly flip-flops. He may flip 5 or 6 times before November.

I do not understand at all how a supporter of Ron Paul could then turn and support the democratic candidate. They are completely opposite with the exception of Iraq. It boogles my mind.

Thankfully, the other Ron Paul supporters around here are not flip-floppers which I greatly respect even if I disagree. For example, I find a lot of poncho says around here completely crazy, but I have to give him credit he is sticking with Ron Paul and has stated there is no way he could support Obama. JGrubbs the same thing.

I understand what you are saying in dredging up the past but even my harshest critics on this board have to admit that that has not been an issue since around the end of October/beginning of November of 2004 when I decided to vote for George W. Bush instead of Anthony Peroutka.

Interesting that you ridicule some for being one-issue voters on abortion, but then you admit here that you are a one-issue voter.
