I stated my opinion as have you, and your accusations towards me are only because you yourself are incapable of doing what you desire of others, and you language is quite a turnoff. I'm quite sure God is so please with your ire!

I rest my case! I also have made no accusations against you...only asked that you back up your assertion that everyone is a racist. Show me anyplace I made any accusation against you. Can't do that either.

    J. Wayne, this is Debate 101. Stating an opinion doesn't make it a fact. If you make a claim, or, as you call it, stating an opinion, as in saying "everybody is racist", and are called on it, it is up to you, as maker of the claim, to provide evidence that your claim is true. Otherwise, your claim is false. Since you have provided no evidence to support your statement that "everybody is racist", then we have to assume that the statement is false.

It's very childish and immature to brag about having an ignore list.

Now look what you did, dear MP! You made me come out of hiding...away from my BB hiatus.

You know that Bro. Curtis is not a racist. I know that he is not a racist. Why would you say something vulgar this like publicly and then not explain yourself as requested?

Bro. Curtis isn't afraid of a black man as president nor am I. But I am apprehensive about a black man with that much power who believes that all white people are racists and that we are bred that way. That is what he said.

All Bro. Curtis asked of you was to show that the playing field is level....that both white people and black people are free to voice their negative and/or positive opinions of each other with equal consequences. He asked you to do that or retract your statement calling him a racist.

You have done neither. In fact, look at another one of your quotes to another poster here....

That's exactly what you did to Bro. Curtis.

I know that he didn't mean it with malice or hatred.......but brother, that's EXACTLY what he meant. And he implied that we were bred that way.

I think you either owe Bro. Curtis an explanation or an apology. That is unless you just made a "poor choice of words".

I mean no malice, myself....have a great day, brother.....I am now sneaking back away to the lurker's section.

If you still read the BB, just not logged in, could it really be considered a BB hiatus? :saint:

    Great post by the way.

This is mearely your opinion. Assume as you wish. I am no more childish than yourself or the others who insist on the name calling and the anger and hatred that is shown around here.

BTW I am not braging, that too is another assumption that you offer.

Scarlet, this will be brief, as I am typing on a cell phone. First of all, Obama didn't make a blanket statement about all whites. He probably could have chosen a better word than 'typical', but it was an imprompu answer in a nterview situation.

As to Curtis, how he tited his thread is meant as a definitive statement about Obama. He appears to be playing to the fears of the 'Bubba' voter. That seems racist to me.

I don't know if he is truly a racist, but his post strongly suggests it. However it seems he is freely dishing out that very label on Obama. He said Obama strted the talk about race. HE did not. Rather, he gave a very courageous response to the accusations against him over words of another person.

If Curtis would debate Obama's positions and policiesn that is fair game. Race baiting is the mark of a racist. If Curtis is not one, he should abandon his Rovian tactics of character asassination.

    Thank you.

Judging for our responses toward one another it is sometimes difficult to see the love; our political ire gets in the way. Notice I said "our" responses, it is a two-way street. :type:

Bragging about an ignore list is childish and immature. Basically, I said that you're acting childish and immature. There is a difference.

The anger and hatred is coming from you.

I am not the least bit angry TY! Your assumptions are really quite unfounded. And your accusations are really becoming quite annoying.

I never bragged about anything, I simply let MP know that he was being put on ignore. There was no bragging, boasting or any thing.

Please get over this and move on.

CC best watch out...you'll be ignored.

Mr or Miss Wayne obviously wants his or her absurd statements to go unchallenged. Ask for evidence, and you get angry responses. Eventually when we are all ignored, JW will be free to make other off the wall comments and never see requests for substantiation. He oe she really doesn't want a debate and discussion board. A personal blog would be better suited for such.

Sorry to interrupt, but Ken said it was a poor choice of words.... I think it was an subconscious burp!!! It came from down deep... all those yrs sitting under a racist pastor has effected his psyche...

    You are what you eat...
If you feed your soul racism from the pulpit... you become a racist.

A pastor is supposed to feed his flock.
The food this pastor is feeding his flock is racism..
    Obama is in his flock...
Therefore Obama is subconsciously a racist.

That is nothing more than your opinion.

Now my opinion is that Senator Obama is a great American and will make a great president for you, me, and all Americans whether they appreciate it or not.

    Let's examine:

    Your argument assumes the following:

    1) The pastor is preaching racist concepts. (I think you could legitimately make this case.)
    2) The congregation will automatically accept and internalize all things the pastor preaches. (I don't think this one is valid.)

Besides, basing this kind of argument on a cliche isn't good methodology.

If you hear hate for 20 yrs you can't help but internalize it.

I challenge you for some evidence that only a racist would accuse Obama of racism; or the way you put it: "You closet racists are so afraid of a black man as president that you'll stoop as low as it takes." Or/and, why are stereotypical comments by Obama "off the wall" while by one in opposition thereto are "racist?"
