    I figure by September 15 all of the convention and VP picks will have settled down and we'll really know where the race stands.

    I doubt that Hurricane Gustav will affect the polls very much at all unless it hurts the Pubs since they have already lost Monday as a day to bash Senator Obama and depending on how bad things go with Hurricane Gustav it may be unseemly for them to do much bashing of Senator Obama on the following three days.

    Zogby: McCain/Palin at 47%, compared to 45% support for Obama/Biden.

    You know what, I haven't seen any of McCain's ads today. I didn't notice he took them off the air.

    I was thinking Obama won't stand a chance to do right in this storm. If he tries to help they will say he's a rock star trying to steal the limelight. If he does too little they will say he has no leadership or ability to deal with these type situations.

    I was proud of him for not bashing McCain for going to MS to view their emergency center. I thought that was real class what he said.
