    Rev., not quite true. Frankly, I do not believe any president has the time to write personal letters. That is a nice myth, but a myth nevertheless.

    Actually, it WOULD be true.

    #1 - It is a hand-written note. Even a form letter in a hand written note shows that you care and took the time to do this.

    #2 - If I wrote 100 sympathy notes for people I don't know, my letters would pretty much be the same as well. I would have somewhat of a "form" in my head of what to write with maybe putting in something here or there as I know a little more about the situation why they died and stuff. So I'm sure that these letters would be very, very similar.

    A form letter that the president doesn't even see is quite a different story than a form letter that is handwritten by the president. I applaud President Bush for doing that. He was a man of character.

    Can any of those feigning outrage against Bush for the death of troops tell us how many troops were lost in the 8 years of Bush leading compared to Obama's nearly 4 years?

    Depends on the country. Bush had far more die in Iraq than Obama; Obama has had more die in Afghanistan than Bush.

    My brother has been in the Navy for 23 years and he's never been to Iraq under Bush. However, he has been in Afghanistan since January under Obama.
