You do if you plan to invest in a new business or direction. It is normal to see a company with debt borrow to retool the machine.

 

If nobody is buying anything that isn't absolutely essential because they're afraid they might lose their job or their house it takes somebody to "prime the pump."

 

What they don't seem to get is doing nothing is how Hoover turned the depression into the great depression. History taught the Hoover party nothing.

You are aware that most of the "stimulus" spending will not occur for at least two years - meaning that it is not "stimulus" spending at all.

Yes. You like most Americans are looking at only the short term impacts. We don't need a short term recovery that fails in the third year. We need a long term solution. Did you read this and understand it? If not I can answer your questions.
