If the zero has an honest bone in his body, I haven't detected it. Now it's dead certain his intent is to bankrupt the nation.

Yes, that is a real money saving strategy - propose the largest budget in the history of our nation and then declare a freeze on .005% of it...

Then declare yourself to be fiscally responsible.

At least he is sufficiently honest to include the cost of the wars in the budget - unlike Bush.

    Big deal.

$160 billion in war funding against a $1.3 trillion defecit is not significant.

A $1.3 trillion defecit against a $3.8 budget is staggering.

"Another day older and deeper in debt.
    Saint Peter, don't you call me, 'cause I can't go;
I owe my soul to the company store."

Obama Sends Congress $3.8 Trillion Budget, Soaring Deficits Projected

"he Senate moved last week to extend the nation's debt limit to $14.3 trillion to accommodate the projected gap for the current spending year, which ends Sept. 30, but with another $1.3 trillion hole next year, the nation's debt could reach $15.6 trillion by Oct. 1, 2011. That would surpass the nation's annual gross domestic product."

"... the entirety of the year's discretionary spending, which is $1.415 trillion or 37 percent of the government's total .."

So, Obama, if it's "discretionary" and you're wanting to cut costs for three years, why have you included in your budget?

So, Congress, do you have what it takes to approve only that which is absolutely necessary?

Not to worry, he is, according to Glen Beck, including funding for a bunch of his budget. He included in the income side the income from Cap and Trade. Yep, that legislation that has not been passed yet.

If true, I wonder if the banks will pick up on this new idea in finances.

Some folks have gotten into serious trouble over booking revenue as well done when it was still cooking!

It's a phony budget to begin with. Just found out it includes "income" from cap and trade and healthcare program of over $600 billion.

    Pretty optimistic, I would say.

Without that , the deficit will top $2 trillion.

Nice to see that someone picked up the mantle of the off-topic, Bush-bash from our recently departed.

Never mind billwald - he rarely is aware of the thread topic.

He style is more akin to stream of consciousness posting.

He just puts out whatever is floating around in his head whether it is anywhere near the topic or not.
