LB: As you are fond of saying where is your proof. Or do you believe that accusations against those who dare to protest the Obama agenda don't require proof? :BangHead:

    Part One.

Alrighty then, listen up Obama-Knights. Here's the plan of action to stop the "right-wing extremist disrupters".

Below is a step by step plan to silence the "right-wing extremist disrupters" who are too stupid to understand that his majesty Obama only wants to bring them affordable healthcare through more government intervention into a once free market.

One advantage to organizing your own Town Hall or public event with Members of Congress is that you will have much more control over the event and limit the other side’s opportunities for disruption. Still, you should take precautions to make sure that you can keep meetings you organize under control. Here are some basic tips:
    1. Talk to the Member of Congress ahead of time so that you agree on a format that is comfortable for the Member and that you can troubleshoot roles or concerns that the Member may have about the event. It is important to know how much time the Member will have, when he will arrive, what staff he’s bringing, and how many questions he’ll answer so that you can anticipate any issues that may arise and can plan your program appropriately.
    2. Know who you are turning out to attend the event. Make sure you turn out a substantial number of people from your base and that everyone signs a sign in sheet upon entering the event. Give everyone name tags so they are easily identifiable. If you want to ensure greater control over turnout, you can ask attendees to rsvp or even issue tickets to the event and require presentation of the ticket at the entrance.
    3. Choose a venue that is difficult for the opposition to access without being noticed. Get to your location early and make sure you set up the venue in a way that ensures that the attendees you want are at the front and that any protesters who come are sequestered as far as possible from the stage. Make sure that you have signs and visuals up and that you adequately understand the layout of your venue so that you know where the entrances are, where the press will be positioned, where your speakers will be, etc.
    4. Select a strong moderator to move the agenda in a disciplined way. Make sure you select someone who is comfortable interrupting rowdy protesters, who can command the attention of the room, and who understands how to de-escalate tensions and re-direct people to the agenda.
    5. Lay out goals for the meeting and establish ground rules for conduct in the meeting at the beginning of the event. Among these ground rules should be a protocol for asking questions. One way to do this is to ask people to submit questions ahead of time on cards, to permit only one question at a time, and to limit the topic of questions.
    6. Plan for disturbances and assign marshals. Make sure that you assign marshals to take care of moving the crowd, keeping people organized and orderly, and acting as security should any need arise to ask noisy or disruptive protesters to leave. If you have cause to think that you will need more back-up, notify the police ahead of time.
    7. Collect signs and leaflets that are not provided by you or your organization. Another way to limit protesters’ ability to hijack your event is to confiscate signs or leaflets that they may bring into the venue from outside. The best way to do this is to make a blanket rule that no one can bring signs or leaflets and to advertise this fact as you do turn out in the weeks preceding the event. You can distribute your own signs in the event and offer them one as they enter if you choose to allow them to enter.
    8. Assign people to greet the media and to stay close to reporters both as they enter and leave the event. It’s important that you take away right-wingers opportunities to talk with reporters by making sure that your staff or leaders are in constant contact with the media who attend. You should set up a special table or area for the press to sit during the event and that area should be close t the stage and away from any areas of the venue where protesters may gather. Also make sure you have materials ready for the reporters so that they know the purpose and message of the event.

For starters, this disruption was admittedly done by Americans for Prosperity, who is admittedly a corporate sponsored "grassroots" organization who is committed to stopping the government take over of health care (on their site). This organization is headed and staffed by experienced republican campaign strategist and is far from grassroots.

They have spin off grassroots organization like patients united now and patients first who as you see has a bus tour for people to go around the country and "spontaneously protest" at town halls. This is the group who said in the pre-rally warm up in Pueblo, CO "put the fear of god in them".

    This group, Conservatives for Patients Rights is admittedly doing robo calls directing you to town halls and encouraging "spontaneous grassroots protest". And my personal favorite is this group called Freedom Works who is ran by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey that published the "August Recess Action Kit" and had this to say on the Chris Matthew show;

Now what would be in those briefings, could it be the talking points distributed by AHIP who is the insurance industry but is pretending to be a group in favor of reform or perhaps the points authored by Robert MacGuffie, who runs the website Right Principles Dot Com entitled Rocking the Town Halls -- Best Practices.

This is as spontaneous as the crucifixion of Christ but you can stick to that story if you want. I wish you well...

That is sick, man. I have reported this post. I hope, however, that it is not taken down.

PLEASE NOTE: ROBERT SNOW WANTS VIOLENCE, SO HIS AGENDA CAN GO FORWARD. HE HAS EXPLICITLY STATED SUCH.

    Mods...this concern you any?

Your post is the most disturbing and despicable I have ever seen on the BaptistBoard. Please know this: When someone stoops to your level--the level of desiring violence, simply so you can say, "I told you so," then there is absolutely nothing Christian about your attitude or actions, and the best thing you can do is keep quiet, so that you may not further shame the name of Christ.

I have had four family members at some of these rallies. I appreciate the insinuation. Wow. How Christian of you.

Apparently he follows in the reasoning of Rahm Emanuel "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste".

Every conservative needs to follow this plan. Fight fire with fire. Answer the fool according to his folly lest he be wise in his own eyes.

In fact, couldn't it be time to start petitions for recall elections before 2010?

If your relatives are part of those groups then I wasn't insinuating, I was saying they aren't spontaneous at all.

The problem is the manufactured spontaneous protest overshadow the true spontaneous protest which makes real spontaneous protest ignored or considered fake. If the manufactured spontaneous protesters would stop we would cease to question any spontaneous protest so that real spontaneous protest will be more believed as real. Until then, it all looks fake to me.

IOW, tell your family they have the fake protesters to thank for the rest of us not taking them serious.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out later that violence at these meetings was provacateured by the government itself. Wouldn't be the first time provacateurs have been used to quell dissent.

Any movement can be co-opted. Look how easy it was for the neocons to co-opt the conservative movement. Or how easily the globalists (cap and trade scam) have co-opted the environmental movement.

A patriotic American can whip a Fascist/Communist any time any where. We proved it in WWII and the Cold War. So watch out Snowman.

Can anything be spontaneous if it is repeated 7 times. That is sort of like Obama and his "Let me be very clear".

Actually, LeBuick, since your anointed one is against this plan...you aren't willing to listen to criticism anyway. So why should anyone care if you don't take them serious? You don't take any opposition to the Chosen one serious!

You've made a blanket charge--that all of these rallies are staged by conservative operatives. You can't possibly know that. You can't possibly prove that.

But, since the America's Great Hope pooh-pooh's it, so do you.

Think for yourself, why dont'cha. And my family members are grateful that folks like you don't take them seriously. It means they're probably right.

Your posts are embarrasing. In a free market (something you dont understand), Rush Limbaugh will leave the air when enough people stop listening to him which in turn does not generate income for his advertisers. That is how talk radio is taken off the air, not as an indirect cause of town hall meetings.

You would "love to see violence." That is the reaction of those who cannot think, that have no insight. What do you mean "by the right?" Are you talking about conservatives, liberterians, or the liberal Republican party.

There is no "backlash of support for the Democratic plan." First of all, there is no plan agreed to by either House as of yet, and there has to be support in the first place for there to be a backlash.

I have been challenged by both you and Rbell concerning this remark. I thought about it last night and I must agree with both of you.

I should have been more clear in my statement. When I referred to violence, I was talking about the "violence" that has happened so far. I was talking about the hollering and pushing and shoving that is going own now. I did not mean that anyone should be killed or severely injured.

In retrospect, I regret even referring to violence at all. It would be better if all parties involved would listen and discuss health care rationally; however, this is such an emotional issue, I doubt this occurs.

I apologize to anyone offended, especially to Rbell because he had relatives at these meetings and felt my remarks were especially unkind.

I thought you were talking about stuff like the 4 black union members who beat up a man for handing out "Don"t Tread on Me" flags. I am still suspicious!

RBell, my anointed one is in heaven.

Secondly, this entire debate boils down to one thing, public option or no public option. You are either for or against it so there is not much debate needed.

Lastly, these "spontaneous protest" is nothing but the party of victims way of doing what they do best, play a victim. Obama promised a public option and America went to the polls and gave him the job. Now the minority is pretending like no one is listening to them but when they speak all we hear is socialist, facist, marxist etc... We heard all that in the last election and gave Obama the job.

It wouldn't be so bad if these angry people opposed the legislation based on facts, but the truth is most of what they are opposing is not even in the bill or is being misrepresented to be worse than it is.

A legitimate concern has to be based on facts, when you are fired up about something that's not even in the bill then you really have no reason to be mad.
