Sure, I forgive you. I understand how things can get confused in the heat of a political campaign.

We all just need to be careful about accusations between now and November 4. :)

Barack Obama says his daughters are no fans of Britney Spears or Paris Hilton

The candidate's kids do like Hannah Montana and Beyoncé.

    The Associated Press

Barack Obama says his two daughters are fans of Hannah Montana and Beyoncé, but think anything to do with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is "yuck."

The Democratic presidential contender told celebrity magazine Us Weekly that his daughters, Malia, 9, and Sasha, 6, got to meet Beyonce backstage at a concert and "they just love her to death."

"They're pretty down on Britney and Paris and all of that. They think that's very 'yuck,"' he said.

As for his wife, Michelle, Obama said she has a star crush on Stevie Wonder.

"I've been teasing her because Stevie fell off the stage at one of our events," Obama said. "I said to her, 'This is your favorite performer, and you push him off the stage?' Fortunately, he was OK."

The Illinois senator described himself as a "pretty cool" dad who tries not to embarrass his daughters even when he's dancing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," as he did in October.

Though campaigning keeps him away from his family, Obama hasn't skipped a parent-teacher conference.

"He did miss one of Sasha's dance recitals in December and was broken up about it," Michelle Obama told the magazine. "No one wants to miss 20 6-year-olds in red cowboy hats tapping to 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin'."'

Obama's interview with the magazine hit newsstands Friday.

Obama Did Hear Some Of His Pastor's Attacks, Report Says

(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Barack Obama was in church last July when his pastor blasted "white arrogance" for the world's suffering, especially the oppression of blacks, Newsmax.com reported on Monday. But Obama, in a news release, said Jeremiah Wright's statements "were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity [United Church of Christ] or heard him utter in private conversation." In fact, Obama was present in the South Side Chicago church on July 22 last year when Jim Davis, a freelance correspondent for Newsmax, attended services along with Obama. In his sermon that day, Wright tore into America, referring to the "United States of White America" and laced his sermon with expletives as Obama listened. "Hearing Wright's attacks on his own country, Obama had the opportunity to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and nodded in agreement," Newsmax reported

"He's a friend.....and a great leader not just in Chicago, but in the entire country...."

Seems like Obama not only supports his views, but can articulate them in a way that makes liberals all cow-eyed.

On Friday, Wright also stepped down from Obama's African-American Religious Leadership Committee. The 66-year-old pastor is currently in the process of retiring from his position as head pastor of the church.

Obama first distanced himself from Wright early last year, when he withdrew an invitation for the pastor to deliver a public prayer at his announcement for the Democratic nomination.

But in his commentary, Obama made clear his strong ties to his congregation.

HMMM, so O'Bama (it is St. Pat's day..... ) wants me to believe that he didn't know the preacher was such a hateful guy, and this news shocks him. But it appears he knew enough to tell him to keep his trap shut at the announcement ceremony.

Yea, like you would vote for him if you didn't see him as a racist. It seem like you are the one who has trouble telling the truth, but I have learned to expect this behavior from you.

Obama will win in November regardless of the tactics of dim-wit posters!

    How old are you?

The more of your posts I read, the more I believe you are just a kid.

It seems to me that the evidence is building up to a rather solid conclusion that Obama did know exactly what Wright was preaching and that Wright's "gospel" message was generously contaminated with some men's messages of hate America - especially white America - regularly presented to a congregation eager to receive that message in their itching ears.

I believe calling Obama a liar is a lie in itself. I don't think you are here for debate either; you seem only interested in attacking democrats who support Obama.

Bro. Curtis has a long history of honest debate and straightforward posts here.

You are picking fights with all the wrong people for all the wrong reasons.

    I suggest you cool it.

Good post carpo, I was just getting ready to post almost the exact same thing.

Bro. Curtis has been around here a long time and is a respected poster.

How long has dragonfly been here and what has been the continual nature of his/her posts?

    Alright, you have a point.

But, you must admit that a Christian democrat, or someone who has changed his viewpoint like KenH, is constantly attacked and belittled. Also, the main tone of my posts is supporting Obama and siding with KenH or MP.

I believe KenH would prefer to fight his own battles.

I am calling Obama a liar, and pointing out what I believe are his lies, and why I believe they are lies, and backing them up with links.

You are calling me a liar, and refusing to back it up.

    I win.

The political views of liberal Christians are frequently in conflict with scripture.

Get used to being challenged on those views.

KenH is a prolific poster and can take care of himself.
