Obama's grandma just got passed away today. That is the eve of the Election Day. Do you think this event could effect people as sympathy votes for Obama. Would it give Obama a good day tomorrow - victory as his grandmas got passed away today?

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

My sympathy to the Obama family in this time of sorrow.

I don't think this will affect the outcome of the election as I think that Senator Obama will win the popular vote by 11%.

That question in the confines of this thread is out right RUDE! We should fell sorry for the loss of his grandmother instead of try to put a spin on it.

You have let politics get the better of you and I know you're better than that.

It's a typical response that comes from folks in a certain segment of the radical right-wing who are Christians but who check the fruit of the Holy Spirit at the door when they enter the political arena. May our Father in Heaven continue to have mercy on their souls as His children.

Thank you for that, Ken. Fortunately for us, you have been a consistent shining example of a Christian exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit here on the board. Your rock steady loving and generous words for those on the other side of the political aisle have been an inspiration to me.

Disregarding human life as having no value is more then rude, it is an attitude that comes only from satan. It is actually Obama who has dieregarded this woman, because she is white.

Is this not what obama said in his book, just repeating what he himself said.

Keeping Obama and family lifted in prayer...

All, don't let anyone deter this thread from Christians banning together in prayer and a show of condolence. This thread has greater purpose than to fight.

On this point I wholeheartedly agree. If you can't bring yourself to pray for someone, who has been created in the image of God, during a time of loss and grief then you need to really check your spirit.:praying:

(I guess there is a first for everything!)

I was pretty much raised by my step-grandmother, and although I stayed in constant touch with her, I wasn't able to be there, when she died. I know exactly how it feels, for him.

About changing my vote... no way. i don't give sympathy votes. I don't give my vote to those who support abortion, are willing to let live born babies die, who would deny parental rights to information regarding a minors pregnacy status, who support homosexual unions, who already have shown how unefficiencly they secure our tax dollars for the pet projects of their chums who spent millions of dollars on 'education' without changing anything, or building projects which eventually were condemned and got the needy evicted. No! No! No! No Obama! No Obama-Nation!

That said, I have empathy for the loss of a matriarch who should have meant something to Barrack (and probably did) and the family. I pray that God will provide comfort to them and use these times of loss to draw them into his presence and relationship with his son, Jesus Christ, in whom we all have hope, and without him there can be none found.
