    I see where you are coming from, JJ. I have always been, however, a little leary of reading double meanings into the OT unless there is something in the NT that specifically clarifies that meaning as such. I think we should be cautious with this practice.

    Jesus came to teach us about the Kingdom of God and draw people to Himself.

    Those who enter the Kingdom will have eternal life, now and in the age to come.

    As Christians called to the Kingdom, our focus should not be heaven, but instead, doing the will of the Father. What is called "heaven" is simply a natural consequence of having a living relationship with Christ, for He is a God of the living and not the dead.

    I agree wholeheartedly, and I think God did too. That's why you must see the teaching in both Testaments so that there can be no mistaking it.
