I guess you missed the point of my post, LB. Please read it again to get my drift - to be fair, if I didn't shut down the embarrassing, disrespectful threads about Bush for all these years (i.e. Nazi, etc.), I won't shut them down about Obama. The shoe is on the other foot.

    Here it is again:

While it is disgusting, I say let it stand for two reasons.

    1. Let the vitriol and hate that spew from the minds of some of these hatemongers expose them to the world for what they really are.

    2. Let the Secret Service trace these folks for inciting possible violence against the President, if they should need or decide to do so.

Give the hyperbole a rest, MP. There are no hatemongers for Obama on here - visit some other boards for examples of actual hatemongering, it's out there--and there is no one on here inciting possible violence against your president.

And here is just a sampling of some of your own statements about the former president that you personally made on this board:
The "self righteous" comment was a personal attack against a board member -- should have been edited - I missed one.

Remember, all of your posts about the former president are out there in the BB cyberspace and will come back to bite you as people have time to go through the archives and re-post them for all of us to see......again.

As you stated: "Let the vitriol and hate that spew from the minds of some of these hatemongers expose them to the world for what they really are."

Yep. We can all see. All we need to do is look through past threads.

    Just a thought.

I have always said you can dish it out, but you cannot take it. Now that yer hero is on the receiving end of the criticism, you sound more & more like Beverly Sills every day.

Baloney. Despite your and LE's assertions, I have never spewed the type of hatred I see here for the current President.

And I also never said there was purposeful inciting to violence, LE. Read again. I said someone crazier could be incited by the invectives directed to Obama. And to Curtis, I never said he is my "hero". He is a far sight better than the last guy. Like I said, I hope you DO let people's hate stand for all to see. It shows exactly what is in people's hearts.

Calling someone "Mr. Flip Flop" (which originated with the GOP for Kerry), is NOT the level of vile words and adjectives given to Obama on this board.

The following statement no where indicates someone "crazier". But it does leave room with a wide girth to understand your statement as meaning with purposeful intent.

"2. Let the Secret Service trace these folks for inciting possible violence against the President, if they should need or decide to do so. "

And you appear to wish that those who disagree with you will be arrested. Such is the attitude of those who want to impose their will on others.

It kinda reminds me when you DIDN'T insinuate we were "racists" for criticizing him. We know what's in your heart.

No, but calling him a stupid puppet, saying he lied to get us into war, ignoring the democrats role in it, makes you come off as a haterful partisan hack. You just want to say whatever you want, and you cry when the shoe is on the other foot.

You should put your big boy pants on when yer in this forum.

Sorry, you're right and I read it backwards. It is probably for the good since Obama bashing is the most activity the board gets but out of fairness it was Bush bashing before Obama bashing. I guess I should look for some of the other boards where the bashing is worse...

Do ya now? Well, Curtis old buddy, old pal, your gift of mind reading is definitely on the fritz.

Either he was that, or else just as evil as his overlords. However, saying he is stupid, is a far cry from calling Obama "anti-christ", and "God's judgment on America", both of which have happened on this forum. And worse.

And frankly, much of the anti-Obama talk IS loaded with racist overtones. I am not saying you, but many folks know that it isn't kosher to attack the man for his race, so they pull other junk out as proxies. For example, the thread about the "Obama's trashing the White House". The OP may as well have said, "Hey, we let those N****s move into the White House and look what happens." Nothing but fantasy in the poster's mind there.

Ridiculous statement. But if you feel good making it, go for it.

It's not mind reading, it's post reading.

I would agree with both statements. He is the most ant-life, biggest founding principle hating, arrogant liar I have seen in D.C. in some time. And that is saying something. You can't even bring yourself to admit his numerous lies, making it look like you have nothing but blind allegiance to the guy. You would rather call out his critics.

That is the silliest jump you have ever made. Talk about fantasy. Come up with some racist statements on this board, or stop it. You look very foolish.

It fits, I do, and I did.

If O'bama rex has his way we will all come under the watchful eye of the Secret Service or even worse his "Civilian Security Force", which he may have already started with his [possibly mandatory] expansion of Americorp [sp?].

I understand exactly what is going on. Because government regulation imposed on those lending money for mortgages cause a hyper-inflated housing market, especially in areas like Florida and California, the cost of housing was higher than it otherwise would have been and should ever have been.

When the lenders could no longer sustain the pre-doomed improper mortgages that caused the excessive prices on housing the bubble burst. Now the market in Florida has dropped 25 to 40 %. Which is closer to where it should be. Those who are hurt by this currently are

1.The home owners who are now upside down in their homes.

    - This adjustment in the market is necessary. And if there is any attempt to drive prices back up to the hyper-inflated state then the piper will eventually come calling yet again.

    2. Businesses who are reliant on loans.

    - Running on credit whether companies or individuals is a poor economy that will have the ups and downs. They will always be inevitable. And the government can never do enough to stop that. But attempts to will further create chaos.

    3. Those employed by companies reliant on loans.

-This is a time to regroup and find new employment. In a real market that is not propped up by a false bubble all the employment would never had happened in the first place and people would have done other things.

    The resolution:

Do not try to stop this correction or fix it.It is a necessary step to a stable economy that is based on reality and not a false bubble. We need to stop this credit based ideology and get back to pay as you go. How utterly stupid is it of us to borrow and borrow all this money from China, a communist country, and then slam them pubically about their human rights violations? Scripture says a borrower is a slave to the lender (proverbs 22:7). We are a country of slaves. And there are a great many who want our government to enslave us more and more. We need to get off out butts and work hard for what we get and quit relying on that which we do not already have. We need to quit complaining about predatory lenders. All lending meets that description.

I take my post back ofter rereading your last statement. The only part I disagree with is who is hurting the worst now that all this has come to a head. After this long period of illusionary living, we have a few who benefited greatly while the majority are suffering.

There are a lot of people who are benefiting greatly. And some who are hurting. But the benefits do not determine the correctness of it all. And the fat that there are those who are hurting does not determine the wrong of it all. While some are hurting and some are benefiting one may not be related to the other. But this whole mess is a result of everyone's drive to hyper-inflate the economy based on debt. Everyone is to blame. But the degree of trouble will be determined by how it is now addressed. And we are addressing the problem with the very thing that caused it to begin with. It is like giving cancer to a cancer patient to cure cancer.

I understand your position, I'm a bit more pessimistic. I believe if we do nothing, wallstreet will continue to try and get every penny they can extract from this economy which will send us plummeting further toward a depression.

If it were not for the greed of man, doing nothing might be a vialble solution and would help this economy right itself. However, if the government doesn't get involved the poor will just keep getting poorer and wallstreet will continue to take risk with our financial future.
