sure thing.. The nickname "tinytim" came from a youth group about 8 yrs ago... they were being sarcastic, and it stuck!!! I have used it since then.

One day, I will lose it all!!! Gotta die first, but I will lose it all!!!! lol

I didn't "malign" anything or anybody, and I didn't "castigate" your kids. But I will say you have a not-so-unique way of reading INTO a text of words whatever it is you want.

Maybe you ought to read a dictionary before you "speak evil of somone", i.e. MALIGN them as you just did me.

and after you do that then go back to your dictionary and check "castigate", since you seem bent on doing that to people, i.e. "to subject to severe criticism".

Your misprision of those who disagree with your position and/or tactics is deplorable.

Come on AV, you have to see the irony in your posts. Nothing to say about that.

well, you'll believe what you wish anyhoo. have fun. I didn't open this thread to have this discussion anyway. I opened it to get clarification on an inconsistency.

av1611, are you going to address the OP, or continue to insult me?

rbell, you obviously don't get it. {sarcasm} So maybe I can help out, here, with the 'inconsistency'.

If I have one, you're s'posed to 'overlook' it, by your 'Christian' love for a fellow believer; :1_grouphug:
But if YOU have an inconsistency, it is 'hypocrisy'! :tonofbricks:

Got it now? Ya' know kinda like the beam vs. speck thing in your eye that the Lord talked about!

We {laugh} when we really should {weep}!

I do hope that is clarification, enough for all.

Well, shoot! I'm caught too I guess. My name is not really mcdirector. Although I am really a Media Center Director albiet as a volunteer.

I have told the story before about why I no longer use Bitsy Griffin as my handle, but I'll tell it again because I know some of you won't be able to stand the suspense if I don't.

I was once very active on a teacher chat board (it will remain nameless because that's probably hidden somewhere in the BB rules and I would never actually send anyone over there). I used my real name and the threads and subsequent posts all showed everyone's handle. Things got VERY nasty over there. Nice threads turned into mudslinging fests that would make politicians cringe. You could never tell early on which threads would turn sour. And sometimes I'd jump in after they got nasty to say things like, "come on guys! We are professionals! Can't we state our opinions without making snide remarks or judgemental statements?" mmmmmm my sound advice was rarely taken, yet, there my name sat in the middle of a thread that had slid into the darkest places of the most evil spots on earth. So, I left that board and changed my handle to something not quite so obvious.

NOW you all know why I don't use Bitsy Griffin as my handle :tongue3:

This has to be the dumbest thread I have ever read on the BB. Please find something real to argue about.

You may think this is strange but the first time I saw "mcdirector" I thought you were a McDonald's manager! :tongue3:

Dug a little deeper and realized what the "mc" stood for. lol

Wow, with five posts under you belt you feel the need to read and make a post just to tell us this thread is dumb.

What would you suggest we argue about instead?

Please feel free to skip threads that are not up to your standards.

Why don't we argue whether or not the sky is blue... I think I can present a logical case that it is not... lol

It just so happens that I think it is a lovely shade of lilac. Of course I have on purple glasses and that may skew my vision a tad.

What color do you think it is???? mmmmmm

We can discuss it over a shake at micky D's

It is every color but blue.... the color blue is the one that is reflected back to the eye. It absorbs all other colors, and reflects blue back, so therefore it has no blue in it.

Of course I am the one that came up with the "tinytim diet plan"
which of course will allow us to eat at micky Ds!!!

The very argument you use to say the sky is not blue is what makes it blue. The color of an object is the color of the light that is reflected to our eye.

For example light from the sun contains all colors in the visable spectrum. If I put on a RED shirt, red is the color of light that the shirt reflects. The shirt absorbs the other colors so we call the shirt red. A red shirt is not every other color but red.

    Tim, Tim, Tim . . .

You are wrong. It is violet. I don't care what you say. I'm going for a shade of purple.

Or we could argue over who actually makes the best shake in town. My belief firmly rests with Steak and Shake. I especially like their orange and vanilla -- tastes like a dreamcycle. YUMMMMMM!

FINE.... Have it your way... hmmmph....
Live in your rose colored world, filled with lavender daisys, and blue/violet skies!!!

I'll just take my crayons and go home!!!!

Or I might go and find out who has the best shake around!!! lol
Now I'm craving ice cream, thanks Bitsy!

Now if red would pretend to be blue, or a Big Mac, would pretend to be a Whopper, we could get this thread back on track....

    Another successful hijack served!!!!

So, the sky isn't blue at all. It is really a rainbow. Now, there goes every child's hope in finding the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, when in fact, the rainbow sky has no ending.

And what will become of the song..."Somewhere over the rainbow, way UP high.............."?

    Is there no end?

    Cheers,

    Jim:BangHead:

See thanks to my undying ignorance the song now refers to Heaven...

Somewhere Over the Rainbow....which doesn't really mean a rainbow, but the sky.... And over doesn't mean over...

Of course if we go back to the Greek, it may mean something else... or is it Hebrew... you pick.

    Hmmmm.... AHHHHH hA.

    I can't believe it!
You quoted a song from a movie!!!!
How unrighteous... and it's a secular, ungodly song, that has nothing to do with Christianity...

(All of this is sarcasm if you haven't figured it out... I love this thread)
