The answer to your question is NO. I have yet to see an actor who stars in the movies that even shows signs of being a brother in Christ.

But, if you look at the list of movies or shows they are in, their lives speak much different than the profession. Many claim to be Christian but only have a form of godliness. Many say they are Christian only to get support.

Well, I am off to the pub. Don't worry, I won't be drinking beer. Who will notice anyway? They will all be drunk, and noone will even see me..........and maybe go to the moving pictures before going home. Should be an ok picture cos none of the blokes claim to be Christians...oh, they may be methodists, but they ain't Christian Christians, so it is ok, I can't mislead them.

Sonds like a lot of fundamentalist double-talk to me.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    SFIC,

You left out the quotes (your own) from the OP! Here they are:

    And:

    The OP question is:

How can you recommend a movie if you feel that acting is hypocrisy? Isn't that condoning hypocrisy by your own estimation? And isn't it hypocrisy on your own part by speaking out against it, yet engaging in it?

Bingo. SFIC has been trapped by his own words.

Don't look at it that way... Look at it as tough love.
Pointing out a flaw in one's logic and theology is the first step to helping them understand God better.

I think we all like and love SFIC. We may disagree, but I consider him my brother.

We Christians are one of the worst groups for 'killing our wounded'.

When someone makes a mistake, our job is to lift them up, not to kick them while they're down. :godisgood:
