Well, interesting day.

Anyway, back to business, Hi Ed. I think I once met the same person you are talking about. I had suspected it was him, but never was sure until you told me one did your clearance.

He came and did a Nuclear Level Top Secret compartmentalized interview of a friend of mine working at "Special Weapons" a Navy tennant on "a base" near here. He was very nice and we talked for almost four hours. This was when I was still Chief Engineer for the defense contractor. He even explained exactly what his position would be doing and asked if I still trusted him. Great person. Sad Ending.

Anyway, Special Weapons closed out that part of my friend's part of the operations and he moved over to the depot side. Now he works with me again. He said the agent even interviewed his second grade teacher.

Yes, apparently the person at Ryder got confused because the guy was standing behind McVeigh waiting. If I am not mistaken he was in the service at the base up there. He was indeed indian and looked just like the picture. Because of the short time between the rental and the interview with the artist the clerk got confused and thought the guy was with McVeigh, but after reviewing the receipts and knowing only two trucks were rented within that time period realized and apparently remembered it was a mistake.

I knew about three of the government employees who worked there, but two were not killed and one was at home that day.

We thought they were killed that morning and couldn't find out until much later, but we kept the phones hot trying to find out if it was one of the two that visited us on business quite often. That's back when I was in secular business, but selling to the government.

I was lucky and this had a twisted, but happy ending, but I have not kept in touch with them and wonder if they didn't have problems from the bombing.

My brother, who is now dead himself of natural causes had worked as a special agent running one of the government offices in the Murrah building on temporary assignment when the local head agent would go on trips or vacation. He had even worked with the agent that was killed. I didn't know it until after the fact, but it really bothered my brother that it was a terrorist who killed his friend. It is amazing how many people in this state it touched.

Both the witness and the government artist did a GREAT job in coming up with the likeness of both McVeigh and JD2.

 

Yes, Ladyeagle, loose lips DO sink ships. That is not a joke and if I believed there was ANY chance that our government had anything to do with either this OR the WTC, I wouldn't be working for it.

But, then again, we are the government---all of us.

Is the government perfect and is there corruption? Sure, just like there are not even any perfect churches.

Anywhere you have people you will have abuse of the freedoms and situtions, but most of the people I know are extremely committed to wht they are doing and do the best they are capable of to make our agency make its goals.

Yes, that is sad. With so many killed and so many government workers that had contact with the public, it was worse day for many.

Just think, the duffus, McVeigh said he decided not to blow up the Federal Building in Little Rock because it had a flower shop in a ground level floor at the front. He chose the Murrah instead with many people visiting the SS Office and a day-care center just above ground zero. But, according to Mr. McVeigh: "Collaterial damage was just a necessary side-effect of his liberation of the tyrany of our government.

What a JERK. I think we should make Saddam Hussein a prison wardon for life and put people like McVeigh there so he'll still have someone to practice his torture on. Let him find out what a real dictatorial government is like.
