Old friend has become a Christian

On the way back from our 'Churches Together' advent service I was told by someone from our church that they had gone to visit someone's church in a nearby town recently, and that they had met a guy who used to come to our informal youth group, who was one of my best friends during my early secondary school days.

He is now 24 and has been attending the church they visited for the last two years and has been baptised. It was quite a surprise as I don't remember him showing that much interest in Christianity during those days, but something about it must have stuck with him. Got to give God the praise, and hope that he remains on the right path. :godisgood:

 

Thanks for your prayers. I'm still a bit pleasantly surprised and amused about it. He is not from a Christian family or background so I know he must have come to Christ purely of his own free will, which gives me hope that he will continue and grow in the faith.
