    Hey everyone -

I've checked every pawn shop in a 50 mile area, and I guess it's because I live in Branson, but I can't find ANY old musical instruments. We're doing display windows in front of our church for each ministry, and I need some old "weathered" instruments. The instruments I have personally are really too nice to be put in a window where they could be easily stolen.

Does anyone here have an old trumpet, violin, guitar... any old musical instrument that's just in your way at home that you want to get rid of... for free or cheap? It would help us out in a major way. Thanks!!

You should drive to St. Louis. How far could it be ? :saint:

I have a '49 Gibson A-50 mandolin, I guess you could borrow it, as long as you or somebody of equal size & stature stands next to it at all times.

Thanks Curtis, for the offer, but I'm looking for instruments that I don't have to guard 24/7. Thanks for the laugh though. Are you calling me fat?   St. Louis is around 4 1/2 hours from here... can't make that.

I'd use the word "stout".

And where I live, everything is about 4 1/2 hours away.

Hey now, we have an in-house rule about that at home. NO ONE is allowed to use the "f" word!

 Some days, I can identify!

in case you haven't found everything yet, you could try ebay for some
    weathered instruments. :)
