Metro Prayer for October 24, 2008

Intercede for the all the congregations in the Metro area to be hungry for
    the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Pray also that all their pastors will be faithful to preach from the Word with power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than
any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,
joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

    Hebrews 4:13
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered
and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

    (billiefan2000 side prayer:

pray: for TRUE revival to happen in Omaha Nebraska and

pray for churches in the Omaha area that have fallen into false teachings will turn back to sound doctrine and

(pray especially for West Hills Church of Omaha and also First Central Congregational Church here in the Omaha area that are openly and frequently promoting new-age teachings at their churches

We will continue to pray for the upcoming elections along with many churches in the Metro area.

Pray that no weapons formed against our nation, state
and city will prosper. Pray that the strategies and schemes of the enemy
will be bound and dismantled. Also pray that the Lord would protect the
candidates and their families from spiritual and physical harm.

Col. 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.--

We often pray for at-risk youth in dangerous neighborhoods and rightly so.
However, youth living in area suburbs are often living desperate lives, not
    knowing the Lord.

They face pressures and expectations that often leave them depressed and empty.

Pray that the Lord would draw them into relationship with Him and also bring spirit-filled Christians into their lives to bring them the gospel and life abundant.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with
hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
