For the past couple of years my walk with God has not been as close as it once was or as close as I would like it to be. I know that the closest I have ever been to Him is when I was preparing and teaching a weekly Bible study. Therefore I will be doing an in depth study titled A Closer Walk With God. The outline for this study was originally the outline for a topical sermon series obtained from executableoutlines.com. This website is created and maintained by Mark A Copeland. I have used his outlines in the past and have found then very useful. The specific outline I am using is available as a pdf file at
    http://executableoutlines.com/pdf/cw_so.pdf .

The outline will be the starting point and main framework for the study, but I will address other points as I go. I am inviting all of you to participate in this study. In addition to email I will also be posting my thoughts on two different discussion boards, www.baptistboard.com, and www.awalkinfaith.org. For those of you getting this via email if you do not wish to participate please reply to me so that I can remove you from the list. If you know someone who you think might like to participate then please forward this to them and ask them to reply to me with their email address so that I can add them.

The format I plan to use is simple and designed not to overload anyone's mailbox. For each lesson I will send/post an introduction along with the main points for that specific topic. I will then allow 1-2 days for replies and will then send out a copy of all replies from all sources in a single email/posting. There will then be an additional 1-2 days for comments on the replies. After this point I feel that that topic should close so we can move forward and not get bogged down on any one point. Depending upon timing I move ahead in the study before all replies are in so that we can keep moving. My hope is to discuss two points a week.

As I see how this is working I may change how I am handling replies and comments, but I will let everyone know before I make any changes. Your comments on this study and how I plan to handle it would be appreciated.

    Thank You All,

    Bill
