    I do not oppose people celebrating, but for a while, it looked like our local news was in downtown Tijuana.

    A large crowd of Mexican revelers celebrating Mexico win in the FIFA Cup games today, became a near riot! Let me count the number of ways this group of revelers offended me, an American:

    1) The cost us, the tax-payers valuable money and resources to break up their illegal assembly;
    2) They not only carried a ton of Mexican flags down an American street, in an American city, they waved them and chanted and screamed their love for Mexico!
    3) This culture is not assimilating into the culture of their host country, and that is something they need to do.
    4) By carrying Mexican flags, screaming, shouting and singing "Viva la Mexico!" they show disrespect for all Americans.

    This is not their fault though. It is the government of America's fault. If they were enforcing immigration laws, and requiring people to assimilate and learn the language and follow ALL laws [instead of making loopholes around every law to accommodate them], we'd have legal immigrants who love the land of their heritage, but respect the land they have immigrated to!

    If the Confederate flag is frowned upon in most parts of this country, why should Hispanics be allowed to wave and fly the flag of Mexico?

    The Mexican community did the exact same thing in Kansas City. They flooded the Power and Light District World Cupt viewing area, spoke primarily Mexican dialects of Spanish, were loud, rude and exclusive of whites entering the area, in fact making it apparent they didn't want them there. Then they headed to Westport after the game, flooded the entertainment district there, and forced police to deploy units just to make sure nothing happened between the Hispanic crowd and others who frequent the area. Except for Fox4 News, the media never mentioned last night or this morning that the overwhelming and unruly crowds were Hispanic. That, of course, would be "politically incorrect" even though the TV stations' videos made it clear that was the case.
    That, right there, is the crux of the issue. Pockets of immigrants in a city has always been a factor of immigration, acting as a transitional zone for the newcomers into American society.

    In the past, this was not a problem. The immigrants had no choice but to learn English to function in American society. But there are pockets in Kansas City, for example, that have grown so numerous that entire areas are now strictly Spanish-speaking. Suddenly, in the last five years, we've got a dozen Spanish-language radio stations, both AM and FM, in the city, and three of the four broadcast network affiliate stations have HDTV sideband channels for Spanish language speakers.

    Among immigrants, primarily the Hispanics, there is no longer an eagerness or willingness to learn English and transition into American society. Why should they? All the radio and TV stations, newspapers, and particularly government services, are provided in Spanish? In many areas, one cannot obtain a job without knowing Spanish. Bilingualism is expected of entry-level addictions counselors, for example. Many young people entering the field have the skill. The older counselors that don't may find themselves forced out the door.

    How did this happen? A little known Executive Order signed by Bill Clinton in August 2000. Clinton made it mandatory that any entity receiving government funds, including public schools, must offer bilingualism if a certain number of people speak a different language.

    So goes the government, and so goes the businesses. If we don't like it, we need to vote the scum out of office.

    That's our only choice, or we simply, in another generation, lose the nation.

    That is, if Obama doesn't destroy it outright first.
