Got to appreciate community involvement. While it may be extreme neighborhood watch it appears to be effective...

Joe Biden has this to say......
“There’s a gigantic difference between John McCain and Barack Obama and between me and I suspect my vice presidential opponent,” Biden said.

    “She’s good-looking,” he quipped.

Google it, it's all over the place.

She's going to cream him in the debates. He's a moron.

You are overly concerned about what the democrats might do if elected, but you then ask what the republicans could have done.

If the republicans can't change the abortion situation, what makes you think the democrats will?

Congressman can do nothing about abortion except use it as a tool to be elected.

It is very doubtful that any president can really do anything about abortion. Even the Bush appontees testified under oath that precedent is very important. No ruling in the history of the US has been reviewed more than Roe v. Wade ... thus no ruling has more precedent. If these justices were telling the truth than they will never overturn Roe v. Wade. If they were lieing then that is grounds to be removed from office.

Any nonimee who testifies under oath that he/she doe not view precedent as important will never be seated on the Supreme Court. Precedent in our system of law is a very important corner stone.

    Just for clarity, precedent is:

The only way that Roe v. Wade will be overturned is through amending the US Constitution, and that is not going to happen. It is just too hard to do, especially with such an emotional topic.

Having said all this, no, I am not in favor of abortion. You can use abortion as one reference point in deciding who you are going to vote for, but other issues that politicians can do something about should be give equal if not greater weight in your decision.

You have taken my post out of context. Perhaps you need to go back and read all of the posts that led up to that one, then maybe you'll know what you are talking about.

I don't see where he is taking it out of context, AJ. You have repeatedly talked about what Obama is for and what he might do if elected, murder babies, then you turn right around and ask what the Republicans could have done to stop abortion when I repeatedly say they have done nothing so far. If the Republicans can't stop abotrion, the Dems can't do anything to further it, it is already legal.

I have to agree, not a pastor I would be a part of his church, ever, who supports murdering innocent little babies. This is simply an anti christian view.

DF's post implied that I was saying that the republicans hadnt done all they could to stop abortion. That was not the context in which the question was intended. My question to you in essence should have included the word "more". What MORE could have the republicans have done to stop abortion?

And according to Obama, its not a matter of what he "might" do, he has said that the FIRST thing he will do as president is to sign the Freedom of Choice Act. He has said he will do everything in his power as president to futher the guarantee that women can get abortions whenever they choose.

And yes, there are many things he can do to further it. There are some restrictions on abortion right now that the Dems would love to remove.
