Since the VP is one heartbeat away from being president we should know as much as possible about each running mate on all the issues, not just one issue.

He's asking questions and expressing opinions. Since when does that require a source. The source is him.

When you use a blog as a source of authority against someone you'll need more, becasue blogs aren't enough. How about actual news sounrces? ever hear dof them? And I am not the only one with this opinion, most everyone else has the same opinion. So jump on a few of them.

Hate it that they are criticizing her.
And all because she's a woman.
    But I love her nonetheless.
She has so much common sense.

It was nice to hear her views for a change. You can tell she was well rehearsed but that is normal for politicians. It wasn't the home run her speech was at the convention but you have to start somewhere...

Couple of her answers were real lacking like saying you can see Russia from one of the Alaskan islands as foreign policy experience. I don't know who she thinks that impresses. The truth is most of America knows she has no foreign policy experience or that she hasn't met any heads of states but they don't seem to care. I felt when McCain was Obama down for lack of experience that the best resume for the job is not even in the race. We'll end up settling this go around no matter who makes it in office.

Who has criticized her because she's a woman? I've heard many other things about her but I only hear praise about her bing the first woman nominated by her party.

    Roger,

You may have missed my post a few days ago where I stated that I would no longer be posting in the Politics Forum. I don't think that I can remain civil in discussing this presidential campaign on this board. The discussion is tilted so far to the McCain side that I feel I have to make up for being outnumbered by posting more intensely/emotionally to try to even the score. I do not wish to act that way so it is best if I just stay out of the discussions.

I saw it also Ken but hoped it wasn't true. I looked forward to your post even though I'm not registered to either party. However I respect your decision as you know yourself and what this is doing to you inside. Be at peace with self first.

The whole was brought to reality for me when I saw McCain yesterday on the View deny Palin asked for earmarks as Governor, then stuck to that lie. He really thought he was telling the truth. One can become so slanted or sided toward a person or view that they can't/won't see the truth even if it's the back drop for the very spot they are standing. It is pointless to attempt to enlighten or show them otherwise, they really don't/can't see otherwise so in their minds what they believe is truth.

This comment is not directed at anyone in particular, just an observation I made yesterday.

Hang in there Ken and we miss you Brother.

Thank you, LeBuick. I wish I could continue to participate; however, there is a bunch of venom being spewed at Senator Obama in this forum and I find it increasingly difficult to not respond in kind.

Perhaps after November 4 I can return to posting in this forum. Until then it is best if I not engage in the debates here - unless the tone improves a whole lot.

More correctly a bunch of truth being presented about Obama.

And rightfully so. The policies and tactics of Obama are things that every human being should repudiate, and much more, every believer. While not all of what is said here is true, and not all of it is significant even though it is true, Obama is clearly not a candidate that is good for America.

Thank you for admitting that people are lying about Senator Obama in this forum.

That is a tremendous improvement in this forum right there.

I didn't know it was ever in question that people have said some things that were untrue, both for Obama and against him. Lying is a pretty serious charge that I believe requires knowing intent to mislead and deceive. I am not sure even your comments in support of Obama measure up to that standard, even though the are demonstrably untrue in some cases.

I will be working at the county fair after work next week and for about 12 hours next Saturday so I won't have time to spend on this board. I'll check things out then and see if the tone has improved sufficiently and my emotions have calmed down enough for me to re-engage in debate in this forum.
