I don't usually care about stuff like this or spread things around about celebrities, but I just couldn't believe this when I saw it.

How in the world she could go from a 45-day sentence all the way down to 3 days is beyond me.

I wonder if the "medical condition" excuse will work for me if I'm ever sent up for something like she did.

    Outrageous!

I heard this on the news this morning when I had to run an errand. Unbelievable. I can hardly wait for a real explanation.

When we allow senators to get drunk & kill secretaries & get away with it, why not celebreties ? After all, think of all the good they do......

Money, Curtis. Money. It's all about money. Someone with a lot of clout, ie. money, got hold of the judge.

I believe the "illness" will be a trumped up scam.

They don't let people out for illness, they get transported to a local doctor that the county has contracted with for medical care for inmates. And only then if the jails nurse deems they need doctor care.

A caller to Rush or Glenn Beck ( I forgot which) stated he had been a Los Angles dep sherriff, and 3 days was a typical sentence for what Miss Hilton did?

Her 45 day sentence was reduced to 23, then she only served three?
Is she wearing an "Anklet" for her 40 day house arrest?

She is used to the plush lifestyle, maybe three days in the slammer tore up her wittle tummy-wummy and nerves.

LOL Gayla! I've got a sneaking suspicion that Ms. Hilton would have seriously benefitted if something (other than her tummy wummy) would have been torn up a long time ago.

Just another example to support John Edwards' contention that there are two Americas; one for the rich, and another for the rest.

Yep, when things like this happen it's kind of hard to deny it. BTW, any of you see the comments made by the prosecutors office? They, like so many of the rest of us, are not too happy about this nonsense. What about Al Sharpton? I know that many of you can't stand the guy, but he has a point about this case.

He has never denied being a man of means. Doesn't stop him from wanting to help the rest of us. There is no presidential candidate who isn't rich, GOP or Democratic.

However, that is not the subject of this thread, so if you wish to talk about that, start another thread.

Oh my goodness, first I'm agreeing with Michael Moore about war, and now I'm agreeing with Al Sharpton about inequality in the legal system.

Someone get me Jack Kevorkian's new phone number!

Seriously though, it sounds like this was all the L.A. County Sheriff's doing. The judge who sentenced Paris has ordered her to court tomorrow, along with the D.A., and presumably the Sheriff, to demand an actual explanation. I wonder if the Sheriff will face contempt charges.

John Edwards is absolutely right about there being 2 Americas. Unfortunately for him, the "better half" is one that he has had a hand in propogating.

Shut up about starting another thread. It was YOU who began this offshoot subtopic of the discussion. And if Edwards (and the rest of them) live in a completely different America than we serfs, how is voting for any one of them different from voting for some Jap for Tokyo dogcatcher?

Oh isn't that Christian of you. "Shut up"? I guess your mama didn't teach you any manners. But considering the source, I am not surprised. You apparently are incapable of civil discourse. Some "Jap"?? Nice racial slur. I can't wait to see what else will come out of your bigotted mind. You are really a piece of work, aren't you? Again, if you wish to go off on a tangent, open up a thread. Otherwise do us all a favor and bow out of the conversation unless you can stay on topic and keep it civil.

You two don't have webcams, do you? I would like to admire my handiwork.

I'm just glad I could cause violent regurgitations in my liberal friends.

I am so very glad that you think so.

Evidently you must think dimunitives are slurs. "Brit" is a slur, you must think. So is "yank" and "reb." And you must think Lee Trevino slurred himself by accepting the "SuperMex" title he used in endorsements.

It took somebody's work to make me what I am, for sure.

Again, don't post some offshoot subtopic of the thead and then demand that no one else make any response to what you posted.
