    Good Morning all,

I need some advice and help. I pastor a medium sized church. Praise the Lord Jesus we have had 5 children come up repenting and being saved.

When the new church year starts I will be doing a new converts class for the children. I have most of the material prepared. The children range in ages from 9-12. Where can I get some reliable material in order to get some ideas for teaching a childrens based new converts class. All of these children have shown an amazing understanding of repentance and being saved and I want to make sure as their pastor to not leave them hanging.

Any advice would be helpful thanks so much. :jesus: :godisgood:

    Praise the Lord for that.

When I was saved, I was given a bible and a workbook, "The Cristian's Survival Guide," and a slap on the back. Oh, yeah, and I was baptized eventually. but that was it.

Those kids, and anyone else who accepts Christ, needs to be nurtured and grounded. And in more than, "Read your bible. Pray. Repeat."

I used to teach a children's new member class. I always covered the topics of sin, Salvation, Baptism, the Lord's Supper, what it meant to be a church member. I would talk with them about their salvation.

I drew my basic information from Break Out, Knowing God, put together by Craig Jutila of the Saddleback fame (though I am not offering support/non support). I added my own personal touches to it.
