Do you let your congregation know that you post here on the BBoard? I've been curious about this for a while, so decided to ask. If you don't, why? Would it make you uncomfortable for people at your church to read what you post - or some of it? Or do you like the idea of them backing you up on your questions and answers here? And, if you're not a pastor, do other members of your church post here or do you let them know that you do? Personally, no one that I know of, from the church we go to, posts here (other than my son). 'Course there could be some in disguise! :D

Of course I tell people! My friend Tabitha regestered a while back, but she really dons't have anytime to post. She mostly reads what goes on. My friend Jason would be here, but he can't get his internet to working {hasn't for about a year now!  } My friend Nicole, I invited her here, but she's just started college and has a lot of stuff due, plus she works.
Maybe one day I can get people i know to actualy post here! hehehe!

The church we're visiting is large, and we don't know a lot of the people yet, so I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't some of them here. I just don't know them, lol.

Several from my church have joined the board.....but besides me....I only see one other active person.

Yes, Sherrie, it was for everybody! I'll be glad when we get to know more people where we're visiting at, because, like I said, some of them may be here already, I don't know.
I was mainly curious about the Pastors, and the debate threads that sometimes get rather heated...if they had discussed some of those things with their congregations before, or if they had even come up at their churches. Like the Calvinism and Arminianism debates. I'm not sure how our last pastor felt about those things and a few other things, but I can guess pretty close, I think.

Ally....if you see someone from Texas, and their town isn't listed, or its the same as yours, click on their profile and see what church they go to.

Now there are only almost 8000 people in my town of Dexter, Mo. Small town. The odds of most of my town being on here would be slim compared to bigger towns. But then again, word of mouth gets around better with small towns....oh I am sooo confused!

I have and do tell my folks that I come here and go other places. No one has shown any interest in being online. Many of them have the internet at their jobs, but not at home.

Many of the people would freak out if they saw some of the issues we are posting on. These people are old and don't mind telling you that. They like to fish, shop, rest and eat and not necessarily in that order. They either don't want to learn new tricks or don't have time.

I placed a link to the Baptist Board on the Church Web Site. I don't know of any of our members posting here, but they may be and sometimes from the topics that our pastor brings up, I wonder....if he is reading or posting.

Most of the women in my SS class do not have computers and if they do they are afraid to use them for some reason  I have offered to assist them, but no takers yet.

I try to be the same person on this board that I am at church.

Everyone I know knows I post here. Most of the one who have computers do not visit mesage boards and chat rooms. My pastor certainly knows, we talk about some of the topics here sometimes.

On regular occasions I mention something from the BB or the FFF (the only two forums in which I am active) as it relates to a SS lesson or point I'm making.

My personal website is also linked to the BB. I am one of the few, the proud, the BB'ers!

I sent my brother the link, and found out that he used to post here, but doesn't now. He forgot his sign in info!
