Nor did I say anyone had made a false statement, except myself, referring to Sen. Obama. I was merely clarifying your statement and givning an answer.

No, Mitt Romney was born in Detroit. I was referring to then Gov. George Romney, in 1968.

I believe I have already answered above about the CZ, but if I haven't, refer to the US Constitution, Article VI, Clause 2.

Not exactly. I believe they also have the option of "dual citizenship", something I, for example, do not have the option for.

I believe that depends on the treaty involved.

Could be. I have not researched this in complete depth.

McCain was born in a US territory, its status today has no impact on that. He was born to parents who were US citizens. It really is simple. Our sixth child was born in Ireland, yet he has the papers to state that he is a natural born citizen. He could run for president in 2032. This, even though I was born in the Alaska Territory because both of my parents were US citizens.

This is a non-issue Pal, it has been settled for a long time.

    LOOK HERE

    To see this

Even if the above were not true, the Canal Zone has a specific status.

    LOOK HERE

    And find this

The combination of these two makes it clear.

I agree with yours an Ed Sutton's assessments. I did not make a statement to the contrary. It was a question, pure and simple. Not a misstatement as was characterized by Ed, a pure and simple question!!! :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

No, you did not, here. I agree.
which both I, and C4K answered.
Actually, you did make a later mis-statement regarding Gov. Mitt Romney, but that was not what was being referenced.

    The mis-statement was mine, regarding the Territorial status of Hawaii, at the time of the birth, of Sen. Obama, which I even clearly identified as the reason for editing, and was the reason for the use of the added bold type. {Heavy Sigh!}
    It will finally get through.

    Hopefully.

I have no doubt about that. With us having an Irish born son we looked into. Your question was legitimate.
