    R. G. Lee preached a sermon called "Pay Day Someday"
Did anyone on BB hear it live?

I heard him preach it when I was a teenager--back in the mid-1950s. Powerful sermon.

He was in my hometown in the 70's. it was promotrd in a big way but i had no idea that it would be a sermon that would become such a classic. I was young at the time and it just didn't appeal to me. I wish I had gone. I recently watched th video on youtube and realized just how classc ths sermon was,

I have never heard anything about this sermon, including the title. But let me guess... it is based "The wages of sin is death....." ?

I actually heard about 2/3 of it preached at the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention in Miami Beach in 1975. (I dozed off during the last part of the message. It was OK that I went to sleep though, for I was only there as a visitor!)

Me, too!! I heard him live in '68---preached Payday Someday in my homechurch--in Baton Rouge

He, (according to his autobiography) developed the sermon as a devotion for a Senior Adult group at his church----the devotion lasted 10 minutes---then some Sr. Adult man encouraged him to "develop"---"improve" the devotion---he did---and I believe that he preached the sermon every 1st Sunday in May---until he retired from Bellvue

I heard Jack Hyles preach on it at FBC, Hammond but never the original man himself.
