Penance, Wyoming Style

    Little town in Eastern Wyoming had the priest arrested. Seems he was leading teen-aged boys in acts of prayer and penance for their wicked throught life.

    Take them into the church basement, strip them naked, hang them upside down, put electrical cords on their private parts and administer pain while the boys prayed or did the rosary.

    The priest claims it was NOT sexual, but spiritual and the "privacy of the confessional" allows him, in the name of God, to do whatever he thinks best.

    Sheriff did not agree. Nor a bunch of angry parents who are out for HIS blood.

    Another black eye for the Priests. It is the talk of town here. Priest will be arraigned on more counts later today.

    Good grief. What is going on with priests goes beyond them not being allowed to marry.

    It is terrible because many people in the world make no distinction between Christians. To them this priest is no different than a baptist preacher. Their sin causes harm to Jesus' name.

    Of course the Catholic church has created a recipe ripe for disaster. Take men and deny them marriage or any other outlet for natural sexual desires. Put them is close working relationships with other men and women in the same situation, then add in the fact that they are lost and do not have the Holy Spirit to help them live this life of celibacy.

    I have always believed that the ones we hear about are but the tip of the iceberg.

    The problem is that priest claim to be saved by being part of the catholic church. What they need is to be Born again thru the blood of Jesus Christ. That is where change comes from.

    North Carolina Tentmaker, your right, to the unbelieveing world the RCC represents the chrisitan community, they do not know there is any difference, one is the same as another.
    I think though it is more then just them being unmarried, it is the depraved sin of the unregenerate, what they need is not marriage and women, but salvation through Jesus.
