Brett, I love the first and second one! How did you get the second one, and what is it?

The first is the type of thing I love to mess with and photograph! I'm the whacko on the side of the road trying to get juuussst the right angle on that pole holding up the stop sign. :D Some people get it, some people don't and just go "what is that?" Umm, it's a cool picture, look at the texture and the holes in the metal and the reflections" and they look at me blank.

Thanks Gina! That second one is from my terrace, looking east toward City Island, and Long Island barely visible on the horizon, and into the rising sun. The highlights were completely blown out, and so I converted it to B&W. There had been an early ground fog that morning that was dissipating as the sun warmed up the air; and I caught it as it was coming over the trees.

LOL! I sympathize with you about those who look at you like you're growing another head. . . The ones that get it need no explanation, and the ones that don't. . . well. . . no explanation will help. The comfort is that you can see things differently than everybody else, and an inch either way makes a world of difference.

That first one was a cold, rainy Tuesday morning, and I had a cup of warm tea, and nowhere pressing to be, and I wanted to try and capture that feeling.

    Oh wow!!
I didn't know there was a photography section here too!

I'm a novice photographer, and my photos have been touched by post processing about 0.001% of the time, and only then it's a cropping issue.
That being said, my photos are as honest, and straight from the camera as I can make them.

    With your permission.........
