My experiences in the low country (south of Red Stick) was that the guys were GREAT COOKS and not all that fat - although bib overalls can cover a beer belly pretty well.

But saw a lot of gals there that were obviously eating way too many of those bubba-burgers!

Lots and lots of grass!!!! Miriam's dad once had a cow "pass away" and we hauled it to the back side of one of his pastures---the Buzzards came had done finished dinein'----and where the stomach should have been(or use to be)---there was a pile of half digested grass---as much grass as one would see in a square bale of hay---which is about 70 pounds worth!!

Cows eat lots and lots of other stuff, too! Carry them a sack or two of crushed corn on a cold day and you'll think you have a herd of pigs instead of cows!!

PS---you're supposed to bury cows that die on your place----dig a big hole with a Backhoe about 4feet deep or so----but we didn't with the mentioned cow above---#1 because it had been dead for a couple of days and was startin' to "STANK!!" and we couldn't get our hands on a backhoe "Right then and there!!"

Anybody ready for a Bubba Burger?????

And if you're drinking out of anything OTHER than a wide mouth mason jar, you are just plain backslidden.

Actually do grill fish with "lemon grass". Had Mahi-Mahi last night (think Flipper) and it was tasty!

(And my neighbor said it's "weed", not "grass" fyi.

ps - I hope everyone knows we are poking fun and not advocating the non-medical use of marijuana. I am a supporter of using it for people with chronic pain such as I suffer.

No Mason Jars were hurt in the making of this thread. Some of the non-Mason Jars, however, did not know the secret handshake and may have been shattered by their inadvertent exclusion.

As for the Mahi-Mahi, [burp icon].

I concur, we are not advocating the useage of the green stuff. Around here, we mulch it.
