Correction:
    The grand jury indictment you were speaking of earlier BiR was not for whitewater...that was the *other* Clinton. The former President was indicted for subjorning perjury of another witness (Lewinsky)in the Paula Jones sexual harrassment case.

    As for this Plame person, if you are working in a covert position with any agency, there are a thousand things you are instructed to do to preserve your status. She does not seem to be one of those people who took that advice too seriously. Lucky for us, her 15 minutes of fame is on the egg timer already.

    This thread is not about Clinton or Hutchison. ;) Whether your question is direct or not. </font>
Despite this, you still feel compelled to respond to me at least three times now without simply answering the question. I am somewhat perplexed by this fact, as a simple "yes" or "no" would have sufficed. As I said before, you have the right to evade my question if you so desire. But it is a little humourous that you refuse to answer it.......

    Gladly; however, I just returned from Ohio last night, and now I am in the airport here in Richmond headed for San Diego. I will have to do this tonight.

    Regards,
    BiR

    Bir At least you’re consistent with your lack of consideration.

    [IMG] </font>
Every post gets more and more hilarious. To reiterate: you could have ended this with a simple "yes" or "no." Yet you are perpetuating this tangent with your continual evasion of my simple "yes" or "no" question. If you don't want to answer the question, then that is fine, as I have stated at least twice. I am unsure as to why you refuse to answer the question, but since you cannot give a simple "yes" or "no," then I will simply have to theorize.

    If your concern lies in going off topic, why are you compelled to reply to me repeatedly, without answering the question?

    Regards,

    BiR (just outside Hollywood, CA)

    Yes, I flew to San Diego, and drove to LA......

    That whole affair was borne out of the Whitewater investigation, wasn't it? What was Ken Starr investigating at the time of this affair? [no pun intended]

    So, I guess that this whole ordeal is of her own making, right? How did she have anything to do with her outing in print by the despicable Mr. Novak?

    Route 5 at about 5-7 PM California time ? I don't know if I should be envious of the scenery, or sending sympathy notes due to traffic congestion.

    Anyhoo, careful on those west coast highways.

    </font>
A little revisionist history, Bir?

    The Paula Jones lawsuit had nothing to do with Whitewater and Ken Starr was not involved in it.

    My replies are out of consideration for you. Something you might try in the future. ;)

    Perhaps you could clarify you conclusion. Because your last quote does not support your comments.

    .........and yet you STILL didn't answer with a simple "yes" or "no" despite addressing the issue.......................

    Not sure I agree with you on that. Does it say that Mrs. Wilson's identity was unknown?

    You noticed that, did you?
    Yes, I was delayed in Richmond as well as my connecting airport, so I actually landed much later than I had planned. There were more cars on I-5 (and then on 101) than in the entire Commonwealth of Virginia. I am actually staying in Universal City yesterday and today, headed for Orange County tomorrow, and then on to San Diego until Friday.

    Thanks for the warning! I must admit: I really love California very much. If I made the big bucks, I would live in San Francisco.

    Wishing God's Best to you and your family,
    BiR

    Um, are you sure about that?

    From Wikipedia:

    </font>
Yes, I'm sure.

    As you posted, Starr was not involved in the Paula Jones lawsuit at all, but after the fact, Clinton's perjury concerning Monica Lewinsky in his Paula Jones deposition was investigated because it related to a separate but ongoing investigation.

    I guess you overlooked these comments that I was referring to in my question regarding quoting the indictment.

    That's funny: that is not the impression I got from the indictment.... </font>
Yeah, okay. That is called misdirection. The charges brought were indeed related to the Whitewater investigation.

    Let's look at what I said that generated this exchange:

    You replied:
    </font>
The Paula Jones lawsuit was where the perjury was done, but Ken Starr was the one who brought the perjury charges, wasn't he? I have a copy of the Starr Report right here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. Now, what is contained in that Starr Report?

    Actually the post story shows that an administration official, Richard Armitage, first mentioned Plame's identity to Novak. Armitage had learned of it, from a memo written to Dick Cheney in response to his attempt to get details of Wilson's private life, after Wilson had blown the cover off the Administration's "Niger yellowcake" story.

    Novak then when to higher officials in the WH to get a confirmation, which he was given by Karl Rove.
    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/editorial/4158246.html

    So, it turns out that Cheney's attempt to get revenge on Wilson was indeed the cause of a covert CIA agent being outed. The CIA, BTW, told the FBI that she was a covert agent, when they were investigating the case.

    Because the law is so tightly written, Rove and Armitage are not going to be indicted. But it's still gutless and disloyal to America. We still don't know how many agents Rove and Cheney endangered in their attempt to get revenge on Wilson.

    The liars, of course, continue to deny that it happened. But it's a matter of public record.

    Matt

    Once classified information is 'outed' it is not classified . . .

    And if it was classified . . . they certainly should not have talked with anyone about it.

    Unless of course they were politicians . . .

    ;)
