'Zactly!! Had there been even ONE case of R wrongdoing, the press and the Ds (but I repeat myself) would have been on it like ugly on a toad; but never happened.

What's more, all the SC did in 2000 was to tell the Ds that they COULD NOT selectively choose the counties they wanted to re-count. The SC was OK with re-counts, BUT, BUT, BUT, they had to re-count ALL COUNTIES.

That's when Gore decided to call it quits!!!!

You mean like Rodney King or do you want me to show you more recent examples just from our city. We had a young man who was shot for having a diabetic problem. Cops said he appeared to be on PCP or some other drug that MIGHT make him violent. Would they have come to that same conclusion if the person was white? I doubt it.

Not if they have paid for their crime and not while they are exercising their right to vote. Why have the cops there if no violence is taking place? Why not use them to chase down crimes in progress or to resolve open cases?

Also...if one is too stupid to fill out a ballot correctly, then one is too stupid to vote.

Well I will agree with you that PERHAPS SOME black criminals are intimidated by the police. But then they should be, so should white criminals.

No, Blacks here in NC or anywhere else are not guilty till proved innocent, it works the other way around. I have lived most of my life in NC, SC, and GA. I have lived in white minority communities and in areas where the politics and police were all run by black leaders. I have worked in the poorest housing projects of Atlanta, Savannah, and Columbia. Your being fed a liberal lie. Even in the poorest and blackest communities of Georgia and South Carolina it is only the criminal element that fears the police. The hard working, law abiding citizens welcome them and wish they saw more of them.

Let me ask you this LeBuick, if your argument were true, if people in our society were discriminated against by the police, well then you would never see a minority exceed the speed limit would you? They would all be extra careful that their tags and inspection stickers were up to date and their drivers license and insurance cards were correct. I mean if they are going to be pulled over and hassled by the police because of their race they would be sure to have every t crossed right? I mean you would not want to give the police any reason to oppress you further would you? Is that true where you live?

Law abiding people have no reason to fear the police, and they don't. Criminals have every reason to fear the police, and they should.

If threads like this were published verbatim in the papers, or read verbatim on the news casts, with proper attributes given, this society (for the most part) would throw the liberals out on their ear pronto.

 

And yet another one who doesn't know what happened in Florida. the claims by the left went way beyond hanging chads. They were looking for dimpled chads. The perforation wasn't even broken. They were in fact trying to create votes by insisting there were chads not broken and hanging but dimpled. The so called dimpled chads were the controversy not the hanging chads.

Again, what you see depends on where you're standing and who side you stand on. All of this makes good sense from your perspective but I believe there is a side who would disagree with you. The absolute truth is obviously somewhere in the middle of both sides.
