Sometimes when I'm alone at home or church, I'll get to praying and singin' and just haveing a great time. Sometimes I feel like there's someone in the room, and I'll spin around thinking someone walked in, but no one is there. I prefer thinking that my Lord is simply there with me. I've never seen an angel, but I had one family tell me I was once! {Isnt' THAT surpriseing! I never thought anyone would think THAT about me!} But it was my birthday this past year, and we'd spent the week in ICU with my grnadpa. That night an awful storm came with hail. It was awful. After it was over I got back to the hospital ICu waiting room to see a little group of people huddled in some chairs in the corner. An elderly couple, a young man and a little boy. The woman was crying and the older man kept trying to calm her down. I felt like I needed to speak to them, but I thought "Lord, they don't know me. Will they even wish to speak to me?" but I still kept feeling like I needed to speak to em. I thought "Ok Lord, I'll try."
I walked over and sat beside the lady and gave her a gospel track. She wrapped her arms around me and cried harder. I was a little surpirsed but I tried to get her to calm down. She started telling me between tears about her daughter who was diabetic and had to have both her legs amputated from the knees down. She'd ended up in ICU.
I'm rather spontanious, and so I didn't think twice, but bowed my head, still holding the woman and begain to pray for their daughter. I got up and shook hands with her husband and the young man and little boy with them.
The man looked at me and said he'd never met an angel untill then. I just smiled and said "Sir, I'm sorry, but I'm no angel. I'm just a born agian Christian, but I've plenty of faults." and I left.
Now I know of course I'm no angel, and those people will probably never see me agian. They might think I was, but of course anyone that knows me knows I'm 100% human with more faults than most.
My point is, I think sometimes the Lord puts people into our lives right when we need someone. Just like He did with me that night. I don't feel I did anything special or odd. I'm always doing that kind of thing with usualy perfect strangers. Some people just seem to touch my heart, and I figure if the Lord can comfort someone through this old human vessel, maybe I'm worth something afterall.
I think we meet people at times who maybe aren't angels, but maybe just someone God used for that specific time. But then again who knows? We know angels exist, because the Bible talks about them. But I do know I've never to my knowledge seen one.

Helen, go for it - we'd love to hear! Some of us don't think you talk too much on here! [IMG]

I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences with us. John and legalsecretary, those were especially touching. They brought tears to my eyes.

Isn't HE wonderful! Just when we need someone or something....... Jesus meets our needs. [IMG]

    Love you all,

Many years ago, (over 20) we were traveling at a high speed on a divided highway in the rain at night when a car pulled out in front of us. I was on the passenger side. There was no way we could stop in time. All I could do was pray, Oh, Lord, help.

Immediately, two angels appeared for a split second in time, one in front of each of the headlights of the Lincoln Town Car (heavy automobile that doesn't stop on a dime), and an angel on each side pushed against the car to slow it down and then they vanished. I will never forget what I saw and 2 other passengers in the car saw the same thing. It was just a split second but I can see it just as clear in my memory as though it was yesterday. Here for a split second to help and then vanished. There is no doubt in my mind that angels are sent to help us in response to our prayers. And I'm thankful God allowed me to see them for that split second in the rain & headlights, all shimmery and just doing what they were sent to do. [IMG]

These experiences are so comforting and interesting and uplifting. Please keep them coming! [IMG]

  7. There is no questions that there are angels out there. Not just the good kind either. We work with native americans and they have seen actual demons in their evil ceremonies before salvation. Now, if they can see them, why wouldn't we be able to see the Angels of God. The Bible says we can....whether we know it or not.

I can tell you a personal testimony. Two in fact. Once my husband, while in Bible College, got in a HORRIBLE traffic accident. He was hit head on and it demolished our car, broke his ribs and banged him up really bad. But he said as he saw the car heading towards him he said "oh God help me" and when the car hit him and his head went forward toward the windowshield that he felt a LITERAL hand reach out and push him backwards on his forhead. He did NOT go through the window like he should have...and I believe with all my heart that it was an angel, or God Himself.

Then there was the time that we were loading the kids up in the car after church. IT was nighttime and we were parked right by the main road. I asked my husband to put our 2 year old in the car because I had a newborn in my arms. He must not have heard me though because he began to talk to one of the men in the church. I thought he was in the car...but I was wrong. As I was opening up my side of the door to put the baby in, I felt someone tap me on the shoulder, so I turned to see who it was. Out of the corner of my eyes, as I turned, I saw my son running to the road in front of a set of headlights. He was...oh about 20 feet in front of me. I ran to him and slid across the wet grass with the baby in my arms and caught him at the curb as the vehicle passed by not 2 feet from where I landed.

Now, heres the thing....David was o.k. Praise the Lord! But there was NO ONE there to tap me on the shoulder. I do believe it was an angel and no one will ever convince me otherwise.

Oh, and do you want to know a nice ending to this story? My son...now a teenager, has surrendered to go to Africa to help a missionary. [IMG] )

Sorry this was so long. Just thought I would share.
