Poll: Did Prez. Bush Look Mad or Perturbed in the Debate last night?

Hyperspace, this wasn't 911. Bush thought and came up with answers that made sense. Kerry didn't think and came up with some pretty odd replies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read that President and Mrs. Bush had spent the day with Fla. hurricane victims. I've seen pictures of Mrs. Bush handing out food on the morning of Oct. 1st in Fla. and the article mentions President Bush speaking with those who had lost everything.

If this is the case, I'd say my countenance wouldn't be as perky as usual also.

Let's face it tho... even when George W. Bush is tired, dirty from the ranch and with bandaids from cryosurgery for spots being removed off his face he looks 1000% more handsome than Kerry!

 

Nice haircut, though. And his manicure was better than Kerry's.

In a foxhole, I'd much rather have a guy like Gomer Pyle covering me than George Bush.

At least, I'd know he wouldn't cut and run when the shooting started.

Lots of "Gomers", from poor rural backgrounds distinguished themselves in Vietnam. Lots of rich and well-connected boys found ways to avoid it altogether.

I got a much needed chuckle out of that one. It just goes to show that the President is a real person and not a polished and rehearsed phoney bologna like Kerry. W has a heart.

 

No offense, Gina, seriously, but if that surprised you, I think that you may not be looking at things with open eyes, or else are using poor sources of information. From the quality of things that I have seen you write, I'm surprised that you were surprised.

It would be sort of like taking your kid to a ball game, giving them a glove, telling them "this is how you field a grounder", and sending them to shortstop. It has to be lived and practiced; you can't just tell someone and expect them to do it. His handlers don't have too much to work with in some aspects; in other aspects they do.

 

It's been in the news that anyone who attends a Bush rally must sign a loyalty oath. People have actually been arrested for wearing anti-Bush tee-shirts at his events.

He really does not care for dissention.

 

I haven't read all the posts here, but I think the President was very composed in spite of the fact that someone was calling him a liar, etc. etc. etc.

Our President cannot always reveal "His Plan". He cannot always tell the American people exactly what is being done for national security.

Really, do we want the terrorists and the enemy to have our plan?

I was in the area, and spoke with the volunteers in the Republican Headquarters coordinating the whole thing on the day before his arrival and minutes before he arrived, and talked to the people going in as they stood in line. Then the next day the newspaper also published the method that was used to choose who would be there.
So I know my information on how they were picked was accurate.
It suprises me simply because it seemed like a bad choice to make this close to an election. I'm not a big fan of his, but still have thought the man was the type to have the guts and courage to face most issues, and the brains to know when to use that to his advantage. Maybe I don't have my eyes open enough!
Whatever the case, I've decided I'm not that much into all this stuff anymore. I'm disappointed in everyone and everything to do with government, so I'll stay out of it all. It's nothing but lies and corruption and nobody has the desire to change it, not even the ones who should, so it's a waste of time to be involved.

Don't give up on this stuff, you can do a lot of good...the key is that you have to be willing to work in the minority, standing for wht is right, not what will "win", trusting God for results in His time. Maybe that's what he's waiting for, it wouldn't be the first time.
