    Question of necessity of Bible Colleges and Seminaries has been discussed. Would like the full-time ministry (pastor, youth worker, missionary, children's workers, male or female) to share if they so choose.

    I counted my time as a CPE intern. I'm curious how many folks did CPE during or after seminary.

    Clinical Pastoral Education

    It's the standard means for providing supervised, clinical training for Chaplains and Pastoral Counselors. It is administered through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education. Some denominations require at least one unit before ordination, and some seminaries require it before graduation. In addition, a certain number of units are required for board certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains.

    I did CPE at the undergrad level. If I ever do any more, it will be church based.
