    What does the Bible say about people still being possessed by demons today even after Jesus died on the cross?

    I'm not sure this is what you're asking, but this passage implies that people will continue to cast out demons.

    Sure, these are the rejects, but Jesus doesn't say they didn't actually perform these deeds.

    Mickes,

    Man can be possessed by only one of 2 kinds of "spirits:" 1) the Holy Spirit or 2) one or multiple demon spirits.

    "Spirits" are thoughts that overcome our spirits but since demon spirits can NEVER overcome the soul, they can be cast out. And since the Holy Spirit CAN overcome the soul, He can NEVER be cast out. :jesus:

    Demon spirits are those who have "left their first estate." Have you heard that term before? It especially refers to those before the flood per Jude.

    Now when a demon spirit's "host" dies, it go to the "bottomless pit" with the spirit of the one they possessed --- except in the case of those cast out in which case they go there alone. But this is of interest because Judas was possessed of a devil and when Judas died, it is said "he went to his place" (bottomless pit) and it is Judas specific demon spirit that, during the tribulation, arises from the bottomless pit to possess AC which is why the AC is called the same thing as Judas was --- "son of perdition."

    This is a particularly interesting study in how ANY spirit gets into you. It is through YOUR spirit (mind, emotions, and will). YOU make the decision to be possessed by a demon spirit by purposeful acceptance of its direction until it you either "demon possessed"/controlled or, if you are saved, "demon persuaded" (That's not Dr. Rogers term for it but you get the idea).

    On the other hand (saved), you are always in possession of the Holy Spirit BUT He will not have control if you grieve, quench, or otherwise resist Him/the Word.

    Acts 5:16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

    Acts 8:7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

    Acts 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

    Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

    Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

    2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

    1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
